Unlike Obama, VJ’s life is an open book because of her high-profile Chicago based parents.
VJ was born in 1956. Her very American parents left Iran in 1960 for London and the back to the US in 1961.
VJ’s father was a US Army trained physician who took a job in Iran shortly after the CIA sponsored coup that made the Shah of Iran a dictator.
