My mom and I are both Elections Inspectors, AKA poll workers. Most presidential elections, there aren’t enough poll workers for us to even take bathroom breaks!

I’m expecting a 15-hour shift this November, if not longer.

I’m no where near a city and not familiar with the city I’m closest to, 100 miles away.

Poll watching is critical. Glad the effort is being made to recruit poll watchers........but we need an army of responders. The last time I was a poll watcher was in W’s election. We had a good number of them and we won our state. It can make a huge difference.

I've been a poll watcher since 2000 and I never go to a school or anywhere that is a "Gun free zone".

I go into the hood, but not without two of my little friends.

If it weren't for poll watching, I'd never even drive through the neighborhood that I sit in for 14-15 hours on election day.

Poll watching helps to keep the fraud to a minimum.

I posted pretty much the same idea yesterday re cheating by rigging computers, something poll watchers couldn’t detect, and it wasn’t well received.

People going undercover at local Democrat entities the weeks before election day might be more effective. With audio recorders — video, too, is possible.

I just checked the True The Vote website and linked to TN’s rules. The way I read it, multiple watchers can be assigned to a polling place, but that only helps with rotations. There can be only one at a time on duty for each candidate. I think two would be better.

Maybe video is permitted in some states while the polls are open for voting. Reading the law in TN, the only time electronic devices is prohibited is at the end, watching the actual counting of ballots. Seems the reason for that is so a watcher wouldn’t be able to report the numbers to someone outside before the certified tally.

You said it! In the primaries I was a pollwatcher. Arrived at 6 AM in order to be there when the polls opened for the first voter. My relief didn’t show up so i remained until after 8 p.m. when all equipment and machines was being moved out. I’m a woman well over 75, but came prepared and stayed the entire time. Things went well, far better than in 2012. Go for the day and thank your lucky stars you are STILL able to poll watch in this Democrat (not Democratic)one world order.
