Collapse Fatigue

When we initially awaken and realize life is not what we were taught, inner alarms scream for our attention. Even though we can sense a danger we didn’t previously perceive, we cannot judge how close it is. There is no scale to measure proximity, only the palpable fear of a real and present danger.

Naturally, most of us will desperately grasp for answers. How can this be? What does this mean? What do I do now? And who is to blame?

We need answers! Or at least we think we do.

As we search for answers, we find there is no shortage of players who are more than willing to supply us with all the answers to our now life changing questions. Most of these people speak with a voice of absolute authority, stating factoids and tidbits with complete certainty and conviction. Naturally they insist their truth must be your truth, for only a fool and still asleep sheep would reject self evident 'truth'.

Scared and desperate for answers, we eagerly listen to those who are brimming with explanations. We quickly discover the alternative media, where much of this information is promoted, is populated by a whole herd of people who arrived long before us, thereby seemingly affirming this new stream of stories and explanations as correct. Many of us find ourselves quickly, even gratefully, moving from our old herd to the new one.

Similar in structure to the world we are now rejecting, the alternative herd has many factions, some quite cohesive, others more fractured and splintered. There are survivalists, preppers, the woo-woo crowd, the intellectuals, the political activists, the militants and so on. There appear to be an unlimited number of cubbyholes where all sorts of kooks, geeks, homesteaders, healers and revolutionaries hang out.

Andrew Jackson, seventh President of the United States from 1829 to 1837, really established the Democrats as the party of envy and hate. He personally *hated* rich people, and he also hated his second vice president Martin Van Buren, who was a rich and cultured person.

Mark Twain much later described the typical Jacksonian Democrat in the character of “Pap” Finn, “father” of Huckleberry Finn. A vagrant, abusive drunkard, “Pap” has never had $50 in his pocket, and bitterly hates those who have, as having ‘stolen’ it from people like him, though he has never worked a day in his life.

He thinks his life would be improved if he could just hurt enough people who lead better lives than his. An idea that still resonates in that party.

In any event, Jackson decided to end his presidency with a bang, both in refusing to re-charter the Second Bank of America, which at the time acted much like the FED does today; and far worse, he issued the ‘Specie circular’, an executive order, requiring that all government land could only be bought with gold and silver. This instantly killed any number of bank issued currencies on which the economy depended.

This resulted in the worst Depression in US history, until the Great Depression. And having just left office, Jackson did not get the blame for it, which was instead dumped in the lap of his hated VP Martin Van Buren.

I mention all of this with respect to our current situation. For most of Obama’s time in office, the FED has been using chewing gum and duct tape to prevent a major economic catastrophe. And given the utter disdain and hatred the establishment has of Mr. Trump, I would not be surprised if, just before he entered office, they pulled the support members of the economy.

Their purpose in doing this both to prevent Trump from acting on anything other than the economy, to strip him of power, and to punish those who voted for him by ruining conservatism in the popular mind.

So much like president Hoover, who was stymied in his efforts to stave off the Great Depression by a Democrat congress, Trump and the Republican party will be vilified for the next 50 years, and the Democrats can do everything they want.

The photo depicts a barn with buttresses on the left side that seem to actually cause leaning to the right.

We have numerous old barns here with similar pole buttresses. I call it East Tennessee Gothic architecture. The buttresses are necessary because there is insufficient internal bracing

You have a mind like a serpent, my FRiend. If people had any grasp of history, or even any situational awareness, the lamp posts would already be bedecked.

How did you like the Olympics? Green water, seriously?! Did you hear the latest news on Syria? Another drone strike on some guy no one ever heard of. How bout them Bucs! Some guys saying we headed for an Ice Age. What a hot summer it is...

Ain’t it funny that people, more and more, seem to be thinking of hurting back those who have hurt them... the lampposts have superseded the Cross, it seems...

One does not want to infinitely indulge evil, but there is a vast range between this and substituting lampposts for the Cross. Trying to be strategically helpful to the hurtful may, in many cases, suss out an area of insecurity that can be helped and thus benefit both parties.

Sounds ideal Mr D.

Mr S and I are looking to downsize. Son and wife and two kids (both under 3) are living with us. It’s been a strain on our finances. Son finally landed a good job. Once they catch up with their debt and move out, we are going to look into selling this old, big house. We have neighbors who are nice but too close. We want something similar to what you have, but less land. Maybe 2 or 3 acres. We’re looking into eventually buying one of those Amish-built cabins around 450 - 600 square feet. I’m about your age (graduated in ‘73) and not yet retired. I hope we can find a place somewhere in Western Pa that is out in the woods but not too far away from a hospital because Mr S had congestive heart failure. I,too, am worried. I’ve been trying to put back canned goods, etc. Learning to make sauerkraut, grow veggies (which the critters got to this year). We’ve got to find a way to get back on track. Sorry for rambling! lol!

Anxiety fatigue is tough. When one sees the stack of sticks being removed one at a time and not knowing if the next one will bring the whole stack down - the stress is real.

There is darkness coming

Decades of failing to SUPPLEMENT - not replace - the Cross with the lamppost is directly responsible for a fair number of our current problems.

Please explain this? Not even the Mosaic Law called for such exposure.

No, it is personally not fearing the Lord that has “DIRECTLY” brought about most of our misery.

Nobody has actually been USING the Cross. Until they start, it is kind of hypocritical to talk about “SUPPLEMENTING” it anyhow.

And can you really “SUPPLEMENT” God anyhow? Isn’t that polytheism?

Didn’t you used to be here under a different name?

Not trying to cause you grief, I just really seem to remember your story, especially the coming from the Seattle area.

I have a similar bit of paradise here in Alabama. 18 acres; not as big as yours, but the house up on a knob, and I have lots of big gardens, fruit orchards, pecan groves, etc., where I pretend to be a farmer.

And given the utter disdain and hatred the establishment has of Mr. Trump, I would not be surprised if, just before he entered office, they pulled the support members of the economy.

The Dems knew there would be a collapse in 2008. Senator Chris Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank were chairman of their respective finance/banking committees then and refused to do anything about it, because they conspired to blame Bush. We know how that worked out.

So, I fully expect the Dems, primarily Obama, to set down proverbial land mines for Donald Trump.

This thread is BLEAK!

I agree with most I have read, but I just have to live well and get through each day happily while preparing for the collapse...

At 80 years old I do look at the problems with a different perspective. Smile, be happy, help other people and PREPARE like the devil is at your heels...SHE may be!

A TRUMP presidency might buy us more time!

I agree with this and hope he has people “brainstorming their moves” and planning counter measures...The Executive Order has become part of our FABRIC.

Insecurity? Helpful to the hurtful?

These people are actively working to destroy the world and enslave its inhabitants. Peace in our time is not an illusion; it is a lie. There is a time for peace and a time for war.

What salve do you propose to cure this evil? Would you coddle a demon? Lie down with the Leviathan? Encourage those who enslave and kill your children and grandchildren? Reason with those who despise the Word of God?

Vengeance is the Lord’s work, but there is no evil in protecting one’s family and nation. Compromise is not compassion, and love is not emotion. Recognizing evil as evil is the first step.

We do (the taxpayers) - of course they should be sent packing. Send them back to their own countries armed to the teeth with small arms - they can effect change over there.
