If Trump keeps giving this speech, and variants on it, for the next 90 days he will win the election. He needs, above all, to maintain message discipline. Yesterday, he riffed a bit here and there, but not substantively. He stuck to his script and delivered his message powerfully. He needs to keep that up until Election Day.

Yeppers. That’s a challenge.
The article addresses it this way:
Finally: the title of this post ends with an asterisk. Speeches like the one Trump gave in Wisconsin will win him the presidency, but only if voters hear them or otherwise learn about them. The Democratic Party media will do everything possible to prevent that from happening.
“So, for example, the liberal media led this morning not with stories about Trumps speech, which would have damaged their preferred candidate, but rather with stories about his campaign staff shakeup. Trump needs to circumvent the liberal media in a manner that was not necessary when they largely cheered him on during the primary season. In that respect the debates, when voters will see Trump unfiltered by his enemies, likely will be critical.
>>>DT won’t forget who crapped on him, they will pay a price.
Don’t think DT will need to extract revenge or worry about managing an enemies list.
Should he win the public support, those “who crapped on him” will either be extolling his virtues or plying their trade in the backwaters.
Free market and all that..
It was the best speech I have ever heard since 1963.
I hope he repeats it every chance he gets.
> The problem is the corrupt MSM will not give his message a chance to reach those that really need to hear it. Trump needs to find a way to get the message out in spite of those SOBs in the MSM.
Don’t rely on MSM to deliver the message to those who need to hear it, don’t wait for those who need to hear it to come to you - go to them. There are small community halls in LA, NY, Chi, Memphis, ATL, and so forth. Barnstorming through some of them will create buzz. Big rallies are important, so are well chosen smaller ones. And it’s not just delivery of the message, it also shows that he’s putting the message into action: I care about you.
Great speech!
Thanks for sharing.
Agree with all the posters here, keep giving this speech it smells like a home run to me.
I’d give anything to see the WP and NYT press credentials yanked for the White House press room
“Kellyanne Conway was on CNN with Don Lemon and he was giving her a real hard time over the speech because Trump made it sound like blacks are the only ones responsible for crime. He wouldnt even let her talk and it went on for a good 10 minutes. And guess who sat there and let it all happen...Corey Lewandowski...the man is %^&$ to me!”
I might agree with your opinion of Lewandowski in this episode, but Conway should have stomped all over Lemon when he went on his rant and stopped him cold. We need fearless attack dogs who spit and spew against the worst lying liars the left puts us up against, like Katrina Pearson, not weak and docile kittens, maybe like Conway, who continue to let the bastids of the MSM get away with murder. Fer crissakes, haven’t we had enough of losing with the likes of Romney and McCain kowtowing to the MSM and never going for the throat against the evil leftists of the other side?
The off-the-cuff style served him well during the primaries. Those freestyle speeches differentiated himself from the other 16 candidates who mostly stuck with scripted boilerplate during their stump speeches.
That style also serves him well at press conferences as he is able to run circles around the “gotcha” questions constantly served up at him. All those non-Teleprompter speeches honed his ability to think quickly on his feet.
For the balance of the general campaign however, I would like to see more speeches like that delivered in Wisconsin the other night. If he totes a Teleprompter on the campaign trail for now on, I’m ok with that.
I'm sure they're nice people (not) but they're the most dishonest people on the planet.
If they decide to continue their negative RATaganda activism against this populist giant, there will be huge protests and riots against the media everywhere. And whether they do or not, their "ivory towers" may well crumble and tumble, and new, respectable entities will spring up to take their places.
If he does succeed in MAGA...I doubt that rewards, "the pursuit of happiness" and personal-growth will be awaiting the hordes of America-hating snakes and creepy-crawlers currently slithering around in the "media" and "academia" cesspools.
That is a terrific historical find and I’m glad you posted it!
Discipline is the key. The Dems are going to do their damndest to get him to chase squirrels.
I don’t watch much TV but did read the entire text of the speech and those were my exact thoughts. Stick with that same cogent and comprehensive message.
“That is a terrific historical find and Im glad you posted it!”
My 11th-grade boy found it. His social studies teacher assigned a “brochure” on populism. I’m not sure of his purpose in studying populism, but I am suspicious.
He’s been demonizing pre-union business and industry, so I suspect he’s working up to “how wonderful is our god Karl Marx.”
