Ryan Lochte and three other US Olympic swimmers lied about being robbed at gunpoint to cover up a brawl they had with a gas station security guard, authorities said Thursday.
Brazilian authorities have video of a brouhaha involving American swimmers Ryan Lochte, Jack Conger, Gunnar Bentz and Jimmy Feigen and a rent-a-cop, ABC News reported.

Well FBI Director Comey told us that we would not be able to get away with breaking the law just because Hillary did.

I don’t think the Brazilian Constitution empowers the IOC to function as the country’s judicial branch.
Hillary Clinton should read this story and hang her head in shame when she sees the public humiliation and worldwide disdain which these young men must and will face for their attempt at disguising their actions!!!
I would normally go with believing the Americans but Lochte has been a known publicity hound reality TV flake for some time.
How about the lousy newspaper adding “According to Anonymous Brazilian Source” to the headline instead of treating like an established fact?

If you arrive at a poorly maintained gas station and it has a broken door and you shake it etc... to get it to open and maybe it falls apart a bit more (or maybe not), and then some guy shows up with a gun claiming you broke his door and demanding $400 for the damage, and you give him the cash... well, I might very well view that as a robbery.
I did not. I don’t trust the scummy Brazilians.
I thought the lie was to cover an escapade with Brazilian hookers.

Look at our corrupt, elitist government. Is this surprising? Remember how the Soviets treated their athletic heroes that provided propaganda material for the state? Our culture and society is one of lies that has descended to absolute corruption. This little episode is just a tiny, tiny example of what America is today.
If Brazil asks for a ransom of $100M a piece I will be laughing.
If we pay it I will not be.
This was a dumb thing to do. I can only speculate, but I imagine that because of their elite swimming status here in the U.S. this isn’t their first rodeo doing things they shouldn’t, the problem is they got away with their shenanigans before without consequence and they have not anticipated facing consequences for their actions.
