Perry isn’t yet ready to retire? Well, maybe taking Cruz out of the electoral equation can be Perry’s lasting legacy.
I’ve held my nose and voted for Perry before; looks like I may have to do that again. I’m still thinking that ‘P’ may make a run at it; I’d probably go Cruz over “P”, but Perry would likely get my nod if they were all in a 3 way.
I never heard that Perry was interested in the senate. Maybe some Texan Freepers can chime in.
I’d vote for ANYONE before I’d vote for Cruz. He’s totally responsible for his political demise. Smart-ass, disgustingly smug, sleazy, creepy and those are his good points. He actually thinks that the people are wrong and he was the ONLY choice the voters should have made. Whaddaya think now Ted?

After Rafael Cruz’ despicable speech at the RNC, I decided I could never ever vote for him again because he is a man without honor. I hope Rick Perry will run so I will have the opportunity to vote for an honorable man. It is time to kick Rafael to into the political graveyard.

Cruz burned his bridges, his boats, and his boots with his performance at the RNC.
Cruz will win Texas with no problem and I doubt very much that Perry will run for the Senate after being Governor of Texas for so long.
Is there a third choice?
Whole lot rather see Perry wait and run against career politician Cornyn who could retire in style with four different taxpayer funded retirement plans.
