Pressed by the F.B.I. about her email practices at the State Department, Hillary Clinton told investigators that former Secretary of State Colin L. Powell had advised her to use a personal email account.

The account is included in the notes the Federal Bureau of Investigation handed over to Congress on Tuesday, relaying in detail the three-and-a-half-hour interview with Mrs. Clinton in early July that led to the decision by James B. Comey, the bureau’s

Very strong possibility given the p/c technology back then.

difference to me between using private e-mail, from a public corp

I agree. Private server being the operative.

I wouldn’t know, I wasn’t in the army, I would have been, I think, in about the 10th grade when that happened. If there was some light reading on the subject available I’d be interested to see it.

Twisted BS. I worked as an Information Management Specialist in Colin Powell’s State Department and he re-vamped the entire infrastructure. He used an email only in the beginning of his tenure and once State implemented a secure network system he only used that. Powell made State’s network Sensitive But Unclassified (and not Unclassified) so nothing could legally be sent by user’s to private email address!!! The classified system is separate from the SBU, and the Emails Hillary server contained had information that was both SBU and transcribed from Classified and send SBU to her illegal Unclassified server.

Didn’t I read somewhere that Powell has NO RECOLECTION of any conversation with Hitlary...

I think I vaguely remember reading about that. Of course, having "no Recollection" is the easy way out. I'd be a rich man if I had a dime for every time Hillary said "I don't remember".

Ahh.... someone that knows

In current state Department parlance, what is a “cable”

How did Hillary send and receive cables?

She just keeps digging herself deeper. Given her obviously failing health, that's probably an apt metaphor for her not-to-distant future.

Is she really saying "he made me do it?" Really? I haven't heard that excuse tried since my kids were in grade school. Such is her perception of the mentality of her voters. You'd think it would be ill-advised to insult your voters that way, but apparently she thinks they'll lap it up. Certainly the lapdog MSM will.

Even if you get past the insultingly childish excuse: Ok, fine, let's accept that. He told you to do it. All Clinton is really saying by this is she lacks the good judgement to know sound advice from poor advice. She is really just admitting, yet again, that she is unqualified to hold office - any office.

You know what, I don't care if the President knows the specifics of email security - there are IT and security experts for that. A President just has to know secured environment from non-secure.

I do expect a President to exhibit good judgement and recognize information that should be protected as classified. That is a go/no-go distinction for anyone to hold original classification authority. Clinton has admitted failing that test.

I do expect a President to be familiar with the rules of classification, information security, and operational security. Clinton has admitted to gross negligence in this regard.

Finally, I do expect, no, require that my President know good advice from bad. Because the President's job is so broad no-one knows the whole thing or has time to research issues. That's what they have staffs and advisers for. A President must be able to take advice from multiple sources, and judge the good from the bad. Clinton's latest excuse is yet another confirmation - by Clinton herself - that she is not qualified to hold office, any office, let alone President.

As my mother would say: “If Colin jumped off a cliff would you follow him?”

Hillary is has the ethical compass of a three year old.

Surprising that Hillary would follow Colin Powell's advice, since his supposed lies at the UN are what led so many senators, like Hillary, to vote for the Iraq War.

They claimed he was a war criminal, and she followed his advice on national security matters? Doesn't make sense to me.

But that wasn’t an “excuse”, because she is a “no excuses” kind of woman!

You know how I know, because she said so, and I’m sure she wouldn’t lie about anything like that!

You mean he's messing around with some chick like Elizabeth in The Americans, and probably (if one is to take a TV series seriously) having information extracted from him? Except she's not Russian, she's Romanian. Small detail.

It won't work out well for him in the end if it's true because she's a killer, really she gets off on it.

Little consolation to the deceived who still put credence in him, of course.

So Trump appeals to African Americans in Milwaukee and in the same week, Hillary throws a prominent African American under the bus. Not that the press would notice....

Hey democrats, how is this woman going to handle all the complex issues of the country if she can’t understand emails?

She presents no comprehension of the actions she took and the security compromises that resulted.

Also, 33,000 email messages is A LOT of messages. I use a lot of email personally and at work and I come no where near 33,000 messages. At work, perhaps 6,000-10,000 per year while at home, over 10 years, it’s probably around 20,000 messages.

Wedding plans, yoga schedules, recipes, and personal communication on her private server during her tenure as SoS would be hard pressed to come to 33,000 messages. I find that hard to believe.

That's what I heard this morning, too. Might p*** him off enough so he won't endorse her.

Let's see if Madeline jumps in....Never mind...she's too busy dancing with Kim.
