C’mon man, Don’t go all PC on us. I’m 66 and the word “nigger” was a common word used by blacks and whites, back in the day. While it was “crude”, it was not a “hate” word. You would hear it in public like you could other vulgarities.

Last I checked “nigger” is still a real word today. This silly “N” word substitute for the real word nigger used today is ridiculous! It is the height of political correctness.

There are many more vulgar words spoken on radio and live TV these days. How is it that “nigger” has become “the word that shall not be spoken”?

It’s JUST A WORD! A vulgar word, but just a word. It’s like saying hell or damn, I could go on.

The way to end PC is not to participate. I know it’s hard, as we have allowed it to be woven into our culture, but we MUST fight back every time it rears it’s ugly head.

PC is more vulgar than ANY word, including the word nigger.

The wife and I are streaming episodes of “Merlin”. The “writer” (or producer or whoever) cast Guinevere as the (apparently) multi-racial daughter of a black blacksmith.This in per-medieval Britain. Ridiculous.

There was a Doonsbury strip on this two decades ago, where the guy was trying to tell his mother no not negro or colored people, say african american or people of color. Finally the mother said people of color, I can just shorten it to colored people.

Actually, there is a real historic possibility, however unlikely. King Arthur's time followed very closely on the end of Roman occupation of Britain. In fact, part of his motivation was supposed to be keeping the kingdom united once the Roman influence was totally gone, and fend off the barbarian hordes that Hadrian's wall was built to keep out.

It is "barely" possible that a black Roman occupier (free or slave) got "left behind" when the Romans pulled out. Unlikely in the extreme, but not "totally" historically impossible.
