The only thing Trump lacks is knowing how to be a follower like all the rest of the GOP.
What you’re not used to is leaders being leaders.

Can folks remember when Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney were too afraid of their shadows to make statements like this? I do.

Yes I know, but there is no Congressionally controlled jail to detain her. (They used to have a cell for such a thing in the Capitol building.) Any other holding facility would be under DOJ executive control. Also who would make the arrest? The Sargent-of-Arms? It's largely now a ceremonial position. I doubt if he is even armed. I guarantee if someone tried to arrest Hillary there would resistance. The “optic” would be horrible and we would lose the PR battle over it. The GOP is always horrible at PR. That's why the congressional hearings were such fiascoes. Don't get me wrong here in principle they did the right thing, but Gowdy and the others clearly had no plan on how to handle “the optics”. Just doing “the right thing” is not enough in this media driven celebrity oriented age. You have to know how to do the PR part of it or you end up in worse shape then if you did nothing.

Now, when someone mentions Congress, I immediately think of Paul Ryann, an extremely repulsive image. I am not above sending money to his democrat opponent.

The fact is, there are 535 co-conspirators in Congress. 534. Sessions seems to be ok.

Well - I supported Cruz. But given the alternatives I would welcome a military coup lead by Trump.
Which means I think all the alternatives really really suck.

Do you think Trump should dissolve Congress and then establish a rule by military fiat? Are you serious?

Congress is playing their fav game, CYA. They’ll do nothing.
I assume Donald is smart enough to figure out a bunch of his plans, all good ones, are going to be blockaded by Congress.

No, of course I’m not serious about that. Unfortunately, some people here clearly are. :(

Thanks, EveningStar. Sometimes it’s hard to tell :p
