I don’t believe this until the video confirms. Yesterday the pentagon said they fire “FLARES” . I have seen the Iranian attack boats at 300 meters and you can hear the sailors talking but no shooting. I think what happened was that when the impotence of the navy was revealed and criticized, it became very embarrassing so they now say “Shot” instead of”flares”. I want to know the caliber and see the video to hear or see the shots. We have been lied to so much.
Can you say, “Spoiling for a fight?” Then again, I guess that is the point. They KNOW there will be no fight.

This President caved in to the mullah’s of Iran - and they are spitting in his face as we speak. He is so clueless.
A real President would not tolerate this, but a real President would not have rewarded this behavior by lifting sanctions, allowing their nuke program to move forward, and paying them 1.7 billion for hostages.
P.S. - it will be nice to watch a Phalanx turn one of these pleasure craft into fiberglass toothpicks.

You are so right.Obama-projected weakness invites such confrontations and actually makes armed clashes (or outright war) more likely than a more aggressive and powerful stance. The only way to instill respect for freedom of the seas in Iran, unfortunately, will be to sink one of their vessels the next time they buzz by. It may take the sinking of more than one, as fraught with danger that would be.
