Ahem, as to the tattoo.....

....I want it somewhere where everyone can see it. I was thinking the bottom of my calf. I wear sandals and open-toes shoes a lot and a pretty rose twining around my calf would be very pretty, I argue.

Or perhaps my arm, the back of my hand, maybe I will have a rose tattoo put on one of my fingers.

I am not trying to be “hot”, goodness I am way too old for that. But I do think it will be pretty on me. I do have nice leg calves even if on the inside my legs are all clogged up.

Also, I am not going to be applying for a job soon that someone might hold tattoos against me.

I’m learning on the calf of my leg, down on the ankle, a rose twining around my ankle.

And I’m certain it will be pretty and I will make sure it is classy.

But I will not be HOT, though it’s a nice thought.

I personally think those government employees and elected officials who knowingly violate the law should be the first thrown out of the country!

BINGO! They are the ones who knowingly violated the law. I'd take my ire and resentment out on them, not Beelow and his little boy who just took the offer Delaware's chicken industry offered them.

Now they want to make Wilmington a sanctuary city and what right do these people have to boom, just make big places open to illegal immigrants with absolutely no input from the citizenry?

And Beelow is not my "friend".....but he's a decent person, works hard, and deserves to be here more than, say, Governor Markell, who knowingly let these people in without us people having a single say in it.

Finally....there is this problem of the anchor babies. Beelow does have a little boy who was born here. I have no idea what the rule is but it's not that child's fault he was born in America. Whatever the case, it's yet another thing to be dealt with.

Lookit, these issues have to be resolved and frankly I think we can do it.

But condemning a bunch of people who are not criminals in the truest sense of the word is not the way to go.

Again, I don't have all the answers, like some people on this board, even if they are my cousin.

I think Pat is trying to say that the Liberals gave out the invitation when they, not her, devised the sanctuary cities.

The laws of our country have not changed. And don't blame it all on the Liberals. The GOPe, CoC, and the Bushes are responsible as well along with Congress regardless of who is in charge. Sanctuary cities have flourished under Dems and Reps, but that is not the drawing card for illegal aliens. The job magnet and the failure to enforce our laws are the reasons why they are coming. And then there was the first amnesty under Reagan that rewarded the lawbreakers.

The doubling of legal annual immigration numbers under Bush 41 helped to flood the country with legal and illegal immigrants.

The rest of us don’t agree, hell, we think sanctuary cities are inherently illegal, but is Obama taking them to court, shutting them down or doing ANYTHING about them?

Congress could act by cutting off State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) grants. Section 1373 prohibits “government entities and officials from taking action to prohibit or in any way restrict the maintenance or intergovernmental exchange of [immigration status] information, including through written or unwritten policies or practices.”

Some cites have so-called “sanctuary” policies on the books that prohibit local law enforcement agencies from providing such information to federal immigration agencies.

Bush 43 did absolutely nothing to enforce our immigration laws. He was a total disaster, including his pushing of amnesty in 2006 and 2007.

I have absolutely no disagreement with what you say! Every word is spot on! The RINOs and democrats created this mess, we the people have always been appalled by it. The GOP ran to get Congress back saying they'd stop it, and basically lied to our faces.

That is a major reason Trump is SUCCESSFULLY running for president as the GOP candidate in 2016. WE the people (in the GOP) voted for him.

Because given the duplicitousness of the Republicans since Bush 1, what have we got to lose?

If only they had realized what a hot button issue illegal immigration is to so many of the Republican rank and file, and what's left of the blue-collar democrats!

They try to conflagrate it with legal immigration, accuse us of being like the 19th Century Know Nothings, racist (just this past week, Hillary said we were) and bald-face lies like Trump hates Mexicans... None of this is working!

So, I ask you, why are the elites so hell bent on wanting illegal immigration to prevail?

A few points I'd like to make, if you'd be so kind to consider:

A. Some say the GOPe wants Amnesty. However, wouldn't making an illegal--now legal--increase the low wages they get? In other words, if they were made out-in-the-open citizens or green card holders, couldn't they unionize and demand more pay? How does this help the Chamber of Commerce types?
B. Some people claim the sanctuary cities, letting illegals go when stopped by police and not being deported, etc., is similar to the Underground Railroad of the Antebellum United States, and the correct morality spirit-wise to take. And honestly, this seems to be the take for Leftists in all of the Western, Caucasian countries. It is happening all over Europe with Muslims. And countries that will not let this happen, like Hungary and Romania, are treated like the Confederacy by the Western Left. You were State department for so many years. Do the Chinese, Muslim-run or other non-Western countries really think it racist not to let their unique cultures be overrun? Why is the Western Left so hell bent on cultural suicide?
C. democrats want their votes. 20-30 million new citizens that mostly vote democrat would make them the majority party--well, forever! I understand democrats wanting this, but GOPe? Why?
D. RINO Pro-illegal types: Linda Graham, McCain, Coker, Flake, and the rest, what over-arching policy or thought process are they following? Are they just stupid, do they think they're more civilized than the rest of us, or are they marching to the beat of a hidden, well-paying drummer?

Anyway, thanks! I know you as probably the BERST mind we have here on immigration issues.

“.....but 40% of the illegals came here legally and overstayed their visas.”

I think that the stat is that 40% of visa holders overstay their visas and are now here illegally.

Vastly more illegals just cross our southern border. Not just Mexicans, but people from all races and national origins.

If only they had realized what a hot button issue illegal immigration is to so many of the Republican rank and file, and what's left of the blue-collar democrats!

Legal immigration is a far bigger problem for the viability of the GOP than illegal immigration. It has become the third rail for Reps. If we maintain the status quo on legal immigration, the Dems will become the permanent majority party within a decade.

They try to conflate it with legal immigration, accuse us of being like the 19th Century Know Nothings, racist (just this past week, Hillary said we were) and bald-face lies like Trump hates Mexicans... None of this is working!

Opposition to illegal immigration should be easy for Reps, but the cheap labor lobby wants an unending, inexhaustible supply of legal and illegal workers who depress wages and take jobs from Americans. We have a surplus of labor with the lowest labor participation rates in 38 years. Why are we importing 1.1 million legal permanent immigrants a year along with 640,000 guest workers annually? It is insanity. Both parties have abandoned the American worker.

A. Some say the GOPe wants Amnesty. However, wouldn't making an illegal--now legal--increase the low wages they get? In other words, if they were made out-in-the-open citizens or green card holders, couldn't they unionize and demand more pay? How does this help the Chamber of Commerce types?

Amnesty just legalizes the 8 million or more illegal aliens who are holding jobs now. They just add to the legal labor supply further depressing wages more. Demanding more money is difficult given the labor surplus. American wages have been declining as well in real terms since 1969. Employers want to privatize the profits and socialize the costs, i.e., welfare benefits, healthcare costs, school costs, etc.

Diversity, multiculturalism, and immigration have neutered the West. Although whites are accused of being racist, Western Europe and the United States are knowingly changing the demographics of their countries to make the non-Hispanic whites a minority, i.e., less than 50% of the population. By 2043 non-Hispanic whites will be 50% of the US population and decline even further in 2060 to 43%. In 1970 non-Hispanic whites were 89% of the population.

The 1965 Immigration Act changed where our immigrants came from, i.e., from mostly Europe to the Third World. We are now reaping the results of that decision. Since 1990 we have admitted 35 million legal permanent immigrants, 87% of whom are minorities as defined by the USG. This has social, economic, cultural, and electoral implications. We have just had three of the highest decades of immigration in our history. In 1970 we had 9.7 million foreign born. Today it is over 42 million. We are being colonized by the Third World.

The reality is that the world with 7 billion people has a huge wealth disparity. Most of the people live in abject poverty with little hope of ever getting out it save for leaving the country and fleeing to the West, which offers far more opportunity and a better life. There is no way the West can absorb the billions of people that want to come here. And these masses want the West to accommodate to their cultures and beliefs, not the other way around. Japan represents a real exception when it comes to immigration. They don't tolerate it and will cope with their falling birthrates thru automation. They will protect their culture and dominance within the country.

C. democrats want their votes. 20-30 million new citizens that mostly vote democrat would make them the majority party--well, forever! I understand democrats wanting this, but GOPe? Why?

They are responding to their corporate paymasters and special interests. The globalists do profit under the current arrangement. The stock market has hit new highs. Corporations owe no allegiance to the US or the welfare of the American worker. The growing wealth gap reflects much of this as wages decline and corporate profits boom.

D. RINO Pro-illegal types: Linda Graham, McCain, Coker, Flake, and the rest, what over-arching policy or thought process are they following? Are they just stupid, do they think they're more civilized than the rest of us, or are they marching to the beat of a hidden, well-paying drummer?

The latter. Follow the money. They respond to corporate interests, which help fund their campaigns. And they keep getting reelected despite taking actions that hurt their fellow Americans. The Democrats pay lip service to the little guy, but they are getting more corporate donations than the Reps. We have the Uniparty and Hillary Clinton is the archetype of the Establishment candidate.

The battle is between globalism and nationalism. The political elites around the globe want to blur national borders and dictate to their subjects what is best for them. This is why Brexit was so significant. The banks, international corporations, political elites, and other special interests failed to defeat the nationalists. We can only hope for a similar result here, but I am concerned about voter fraud and other ploys by the Establishment. Notice the Bushes have yet to endorse Trump? Or Kasich, Cruz, Toomey, et. al.? Actually it is a good sign for us. But the stakes are so high in this election that the Establishment will do anything to stay in control--and I mean anything.

I have been involved with the immigration issue for over 9 years. I am proud that I had a small part to play in defeating Eric Cantor. Without Dave Brat's victory, the Gang of 8 bill would be law today. And that would mean game over.

No, it is 40% of the alleged 11 million who are here illegally. If 40% of the 50 million people who come to the US each year overstayed their visas, we would have wall to wall people.

I see......

either way it seems the 40% stat is as bogus as the 11M figure......Heck So. California has more than 11 illegals in it. Given California’s voting registration laws they vote too......hence our Democrat one party state......making California......Mexico! Look at California’s legislature......there’s a huge % of Hispanic names there.

But on B. WHY? It’s suicide? They’re not noble for wanting this, they’re insane! What IF Germany for example, becomes Islamic? Now, the Germans once were real bad-asses. But then again, so were the Vikings, and now look at the tree-hugging welfare loving Scandinavians now.

Still, an Islamic Germany is a scary thought. I don’t think they’d feel ANY guilt over invading France or Russia again, and killing all the Jews they could find. Don’t the Germans realize just how insane it would be to have this many Muslims in their country????

I always thought that the politicians realized they could not sustain the social welfare system they created with their own low birth and fertility rates, so importing new “tax payers” was the next best thing. Still, the ones they’re now seeing in the millions are not nice people. they are literally giving up and become Syria North.
