YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. - Tourist John Gleason crept through the grass, four small children close behind, inching toward a bull elk with antlers like small trees at the edge of a meadow in Yellowstone National Park.

Silly Park Rangers. People know the animals are really friendly. They even saw and heard them speaking in movies.

Then they'll find out that bears are interested in a lot more than just a little "pick-a-nick" basket.

““I want to see one right there,” Morrow said, pointing to a spot just feet away. “I’d throw it a cookie.”

A grizzly shes referring to.

I will not go to a NP. I avoid them. The last time I was at Yosemite it was like a bad night in Oakland.

Oddly enough, Subarus sell pretty well out in Montana. My brother lives in Missoula and you see a lot of Subarus and full-size pick ups parked in his neighborhood.

Never go to a national park (especially a popular one) in the summer. The crowds are unbearable and most people are just plain ignorant.

You can find great camping (no frills, for sure) in national forests and, by and large, stupid people avoid them because there aren’t any McDonald’s nearby and you have to be much more self reliant

The selfie generation is driving me crazy. We were just in Europe and the incessant photo taking (hogging scenic outlooks, stopping in the middle of crowded paths, poking the selfie stick in front of your face) was extremely annoying. This social media era has just gone way too far and I hope the pendulum at some point swings back.

When the President of the country blatantly ignores and defies the rule of law, why shouldn't every Tom, Dick and Harry who strolls through a National Park ignore their rules as well?

Obama and all of his various leftist government agencies set a wonderful example...

*puke*

My goodness they’re pushing blacks to enjoy national parks in government sponsored TV commercials. No mater who they get to do the ads the blacks in them, look like fish outta water on the look out for the closest church’s fried chicken.

I won’t go there, or anyplace else that is perpetually thronged by idiots.

Don't get out much, huh?

Yosemite is a serious problem, visitation probably needs to be restricted in the Valley. Lots of parks aren't that crowded, especially if you go offseason.

It’s amazing how dumb city/suburban people can be around animals even domestic ones (I used to farm and also worked at a horse farm).

They routinely anthropomorphize them which leads to stupid conclusions. The number one is that animals won’t attack unless they are afraid of you.

Personally I think working as a park ranger has to be hard job. I don’t have patience with idiots.

People have become increasingly stupid. Lacking common sense.

They think that the wildlife and wild country are like a child’s playground. Not cognizant of the danger they are in.

ever since Rangers prevented doddering old veterans from parking at War memorials during the government shutdown I have resolved never again to feel sorry for a ranger for any reason ever.

I hope the foolish visitors raised absolute pandemonium, misbehave and only ask stupid questions.

She said she was eager to see a grizzly up close. “I want to see one right there,” Morrow said, pointing to a spot just feet away. “I’d throw it a cookie.”

Must be time to review Park budget requests.

These incidents are nearing crisis numbers. In order to prevent harm to our visitors, more personnel are needed. The NPS hopes that the new administration will be fully cognizent of the problem and its obvious solution. Remember, if it saves just one life.......

Saw the stupidity first hand 2 weeks ago. Family walked out onto the edge of a meadow full of Buffalo so they could position their kids with the herd behind them. Sorry, kid is no match for a rampaging bull. I got stellar photos from my vehicle with a telephoto lens. Close enough

"Morrow declared herself unafraid of the park’s wildlife. She said she was eager to see a grizzly up close."
Someone should show her the story of Timothy Treadwell.

I agree. Park rangers are my enemy after what they did.

I have zero respect for them, just like I have zero respect for most fedgov employees, Who I pay to be rude to me.
