It's quite typical for his statements to have such sting at the tail of seemingly unwise or controversial statements. He is a master of the technique.

I think this whole thing once again is indicative of the slime balls that orbit the Clinton universe.

While the media has a week long fit taking focus off of more pressing campaign stuff, you can complain about their bias.

Schumer was of cause Weiner's mentor. Schumer both gave him his 1st job out of college working in his office and propped him up to run and win Schumer'swn congressional seat when he left it to go to the Senate.
Schumer's overwhelming sliminess leaves me little doubt that his only difference with the Wiener is that he's from a pre-digital age when perverts could only "Xeroxed" their privates and fax them. The 1st leaves no trail and the second could be set to do the same.
