In a two-page memo to The Washington Post, Trump outlined for the first time how he would seek to force Mexico to pay for his 1,000-mile border fence, which Trump has made a cornerstone of his presidential campaign and which has been repeatedly scoffed at by current and former Mexican leaders.

Put any average group of Jews or even Chinese in charge and it would be the wealthiest country in Africa within 20 years, maybe less.

Politics is universal. The same kind of problems crop up in almost every country and the same solutions usually work. Pena Nieto is incredibly unpopular in Mexico. His approval ratings are in the tank. If you are him then what better way to boost your ratings than standing up to the one person in Mexico less popular than you are? I don't think Pena Nieto will deliberately insult Trump. But he will make it clear that there is little if anything they agree on and that he isn't going to cave to U.S. demands.

Both have their agendas, and they both get the opportunity in person to size each other up for a continuing dialogue. I do not expect Nieto to publicly agree with Trump, but Trump holds the winning hand if elected to get Mexico and Mexicans either directly or indirectly to pay for the wall. It’s a lot of money at stake for Mexico.

Cracking down on wiring money will accomplish very little. There are still a ton of ways, especially in a digital age, to move money back & forth without a wire transfer.

One big problem with your theory. He doesn’t have a choice. He will cave in to Trump, but in any deal that is worth doing, both sides have to gain something. Trump will give him something that will help him, but Trump will be the one who wins big. Remember who wrote The Art of the Deal.

You’ll find out soon enough. Remember Mexico is dependent on US Dollars. Anything and everything Trump gets is something we don’t have now. Time for us to be the winners and rebuild OUR Economy.

I still prefer sending ALL of the illegals back to where they came from. Even considering allowing any to stay is insane, even if their records are clean. If they came illegally, they’re criminals by definition. Find them; send them home.

I read that the U.S. was able to locate the single cow “patient zero” for Mad Cow Disease on an obscure Canadian farm. If we can do that, we certainly can find illegals walking our streets in plain sight.

No other country would put up with this crap. Why do we? Why should we?

In years past, remittances was Mexico’s #2 GNP with oil being #1. Today, remittances have trumped oil.
