President Barack Obama praises Colin Kaepernick’s decision not to stand for the the national anthem at football games, saying that the 49ers quarterback is protesting “real legitimate issues.” “My understanding, at least, is he is exercising his constitutional right to make a statement, I think there is a long history of sports figures doing so,” Obama said, when asked about Kapernick’s protest.

Obama made his remarks during a press conference in China at the G-20 world leader’s summit.

Obama admitted that it was “tough thing” for people to see Kaepernick disrespect the flag and the people that served in the military, but then he defended it.

“I don’t doubt his sincerity, based on what I’ve heard,” Obama said. “I think he cares about some real legitimate issues that have to be talked about. If nothing else what he’s done is he’s generated more conversation about some topics that need to be talked about.”

Obama cited his preference for an “active citizenry” rather than Americans sitting on the sidelines.

Is it any wonder that Lesbian Soccer Star Megan Rapinoe hates American values and culture as much as Colin K.? Like Colin, Megan is a member of a victim class that, despite affirmative action and broad, positive media propaganda, wants not just tolerance and acceptance, but the total embrace and aggrandizement of what was once either criminal or mentally diseased.

Kaepenick's the #2 QB so he'll be sitting on the sidelines a lot this season.

There is no treason so low, nor any perversion so vile, that either won’t be embraced and championed by the Democrat Party.

This sentiment can be posted on the majority of responses to the 'News of the Day.' Well done.

How many young black men will die because people they look up to are conveying the message that the nation and the police are dangerous for blacks?

Agree on your big picture view of this. Fools influencing real life.

On another topic waiting to see the NFL at least fine him for the “ Pig Socks” They can in no way be deemed to be an NFL approved part of the 49er uniform...

Media afraid to point that out.

So the question of the day is, does Hillary agree with Obama on this too?

Maybe some brave reporter will ask her view at her next presser.

Or on the new “open access” plane where I’m sure they will need to submit their questions in writing to Huma/Cheryl before Hilly honors them with her presence.

Of course there will be the nothing photos of her and the adoring press.

Womens soccer didn’t win at Olympics so she must want attention in another way.

Boy that first name of “ Megan” sure affects their brains -— think Megan Kelly

Obama cited his preference for an “active citizenry” rather than Americans sitting on the sidelines.

Until it doesn't fit his agenda, he does. When it doesn't fit his agenda, watch what happens next.

BLM thrives in the shade provided by Barak Obama’s twisted view of the United States. I’ll be glad to see him leave office.

I agree that Kaepernick has the right to not stand, but everyone who disagrees with his decision also have the right to criticize him. That's what freedom of speech and expression means. That said, he does not have the ‘right’ to earn an NFL salary if he isn't wanted in the NFL, and everyone has the right to protest his participation in NFL games and to boycott the products he has any connection to. That's how it works.

My feeling is that if Kaepernick feels that he is protesting for a very valid issue, then he should take the opportunity his actions have afforded him, stand up, and debate the issue publicly. Clearly there are police who overstep their bounds, but there are people in every profession who do bad things - including the NFL for sure. If Kaepernick doesn't think the whole NFL should be judged by the actions of a few, then the same should be afforded the police - the vast majority of whom put their lives on the line every day in an admirable way to protect the rest of us.

Obammie is working on getting the American flag and national anthem banned before he’s booted from the White House. What a pig.

The man hates America, the flag, our military, our police and our faith.

Bath House is auditioning for Jimmy Carter's spot of ex-presidential America-haters, once Carter dies.

I guarantee you that the MSM will force Bath House's stupid quotes into the public discussion, time and again, once he is retired in Hawaii. The New Jimmy Carter is just tuning up.

Question for Obama.. if interracial crime is almost entirely white on black.. well The federal government published interracial crime data for years and years prior to Obama taking office. Where's the brief?

Here's mine. Those data show just the opposite of what Obama preaches
