If the pub has a commanding lead that can’t be overcome, the usual dem M.O. is to yank their candidate and replace him (her,it) at the last minute. If this doesn’t happen in Reptillary’s case, it means they are fairly confident that can steal the election, probably by the hackable vote-tallying machines.

Headline when Clinton tops Trump 45-43: Clinton in command
Headline when Trump tops Clinton 45-43: Near even race

No spin at all, nope. Not here!

That would make sense, with the President being decided by the Electoral College, not by the national popular vote.

“90% of Republicans? They’ve come home to Trump!

More exactly, now that Trump looks like he’s going to win, people are flocking to the strong horse.”

Clinton has been getting hammered by the leaks and idiotic replies about her email (I don’t recall...but just in case, lets break these Blackberries with hammers). Trump has been going after her for it and has remained on-message. As a result, people are seeing him as Presidential rather than the loudmouth at the party who no one really likes but is always invited because he buys the beer.

in my imagination today, I was laughing about how Trump would handle a coughing fit on stage. I could see him, saying into the microphone, “oh my gosh. Can someone help this poor woman? Please. Can someone help her?”

LOL.

others tried to explain why national polls don’t really matter compared to state polls”

It’s an axiom of national politics: whoever says that is losing.

“THE BATTLEGROUND STATES

VA...OH...FL...NH...NC...and maybe one or two others “

WI and PA are not historic “battleground states” but they are this cycle. Both are VERY winnable for Trump.

Also, my spidey sense keeps twitching to keep an eye on Maine and Connecticut.

Everyone is talking Rust Belt, but I think we might see a resurrection of the Republican party in the Northeast.

Just this weekend, I saw a poll indicating an even (or near even) race in Maine.

I hope not!!!
I did vote for Bill in 1996.
However, I cannot bear the mere thought of her as POTUS!!!
She belongs in prison!!!
Trump belongs in the White House!!! He is our last hope!!!

It will be very interesting to see the impact on the polling a revelation that she’s a Parkinson’s sufferer will have. Maybe that’s the information that Assange is sitting on waiting until October to release.

“the comeback kid”

LOL.

Hillary is not a kid and she is not coming back.

Poll manipulation doesn’t work. If they try to pretend that she is far ahead, most of her supporters won’t bother to vote. They are lazy and don’t really like her that much.

“these are shocking numbers from reuters”

And Reuters nailed the results in 2012.

They were the most accurate along with PPP and YouGov.

Really nothing to get excited about. When CNN reports him with a 10+ point lead, then we can break out the champagne!

If CNN is reporting ANY lead for Donald he probably already has that 10 point lead. To see CNN report it would be a sure and certain sign of the Apocalypse.

thank you. I did not know that.

Is that true state by state, in addition to nationally?

Assange keeps saying that his revelations will unequivocally show her criminality. Who knows? We will see.

I also think that someone, probably the Enquirer, is going to out her unequivocally. (Pretty sure we aren’t going to want to see those pictures).

Then, if something comes out about her health simultaneously....Wow. This could get fun.

I remember in 2012 pre-election. People saying they only saw Romney lawn signs everywhere. No Obama signs. Look what happened.

I’ve only seen one Trump ad (granted I’m not a heavy TV watcher). I live in VA where you’d expect both candidates to be advertising heavily.

So he’s basically even and he hasn’t unleashed the hounds yet.
