So much BS, so little time to address it all.

Where to begin:

So the registration ship has sailed. They know what you have and where to find you.

True, but by the same token we know where to find them (and their wives and their kids and the rest of their families). Try it, it won't be pretty.

It’ll be up to you to prove that you’re clean, and that you’ve handed over everything. They’ll have a list, and if they think you’re still holding, they’ll hit you with asset freezes.

Good luck with that since more and more patriots don't keep large sums of money in the bank any longer. If you collect Social Security however, that could give them some leverage by cutting you off.

The other thing they’ll do is take your children. You’re not going to shoot at those cops, either, because then your kids will just end up in the foster system as wards of the state.

Ha! Well, in my case take them if you can. They're all adults and as well armed and prepared as I am. For those with young children, you take theirs we take yours. And we'll be pretty pissed at this stage if you were stupid enough to mess with our kids.

Oh, I’m sure there are folks reading this who are so off-grid that none of the above can touch them.....But is that blessed group big enough to overthrow a determined US government? No, it ain’t.

The author has obviously never heard of Leaderless Resistance or of Ted Kaczynski. Imagine just 100 Right Wing Kaczynskis. The FBI couldn't even catch Kaczynski without his brother insisting he was probably the Unabomber. They had even investigated him prior to that and dismissed him as a possible suspect.

Things will get ugly real quick. So unless the people who would be involved in this plan to to live to live out their lives at Quantico or some other Fed secure base, they are not going try any of the above. People have been learning the past few years on how to build guns from scratch. And they've become pretty damn sophisticated at it using just basic tools and materials.

No, instead they will try to attack the ammo supply. They've already started.

Just remember what Clint Eastwood said in the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales:

"Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."
-Josey Wales

When you stop to consider the record gun sales recently, these are indeed bizarre ravings.

Mess with my family, I will mess back in return tenfold. Because you take my kid, I have nothing left to lose.

Well, in Michigan all handguns are registered with the Michigan State Police, so the NSA knows what handguns I own.

And I’m sure the NSA also knows about any rifles or shotguns that were transferred to me on a 4473.

There’s no way they know about all of the rifles and shotguns I own, however.

Actually I appreciate that people like him continue to underestimate people like us. The jury is out on who will be the ones with the smug grins.

Even that won’t fly, and the Left knows it. If just 3% of gun owners actively fight back (understandable when facing confiscation of their wealth, family, and sustenance), that’s somewhere around 1.5 million random people responding to the threat of violence in kind. The Left can’t hack that kind of pushback.

What IS happening is the quiet slow throttling of the supply chain. RKBA doesn’t mean a whole lot if you can’t buy guns (ask machinegun hobbyists about available supply vs. modern products), can’t fix guns (few owners can literally make parts), and can’t feed guns (the basement stockpiles may be deep, but ammo is still a consumable; see recent “wetted nitrocellulose” issue). The neo-Bolsheviks are patient, and do learn their lessons ... including that the Right is generally law-abiding, and that middlemen are easily dissuaded from facilitating RKBA when costs of legal compliance crush profits.

Have to agree with your statement about BS. My single point is that “When the government outlaws semi-automatic firearms,” there are quite a few, probably in the several hundreds, who will immediately go “mean”.

And as you said, it will not take many before the government feels the strain. There are not that many of the politicians who will stake their life on banning semi-automatic firearms.

And if anyone thinks my numbers are too high, there are over 100 million firearms owners in this country. What percent do you think will go “mean”?

"how many of those type guns are suitable for urban combat against AR-15s with state-of-the-art optics?"

I would say all of them. This guy has a very over inflated opinion as to the capabilities of an AR-15. Also, an AR is a medium range rifle and a good shooter doesn't need ANY optics with it other than, perhaps, a night vision scope. At 100 to 150 yards my accuracy with iron sights on a AR is pretty much the same as with a scope but the ability to acquire a target quickly, especially a moving target, is much better with iron sights.

So here's a question for you: how many people like you exist, and how many of those type guns are suitable for urban combat against AR-15s with state-of-the-art optics? I know which of my guns are probably totally "in the black," and I can't imagine trying to mount an insurgency with any or all of them.

The mujahideen didn't have AK rifles and RPGs when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. They acquired them.

>>The bitter truth is this:there will be no confiscation shock troops for you and your buddies to shoot back at, and we will discover too late that the rights-defenders’ fantasy–of one, crystal-clear moment when it’s time for everyone to rise up as one and take it all back–has been the establishment’s biggest ally and freedom’s deadliest enemy.

The smart patriot isn’t going to wait for the JBTs to show up. He will start by taking out the “I know how to live your life better than you” liberals in the neighborhood and the bureaucrats as they leave their well-marked government office building. These are the true enemies of freedom.

Why would anyone hand over what is a God given right?

Most gun owners know that they need the guns specifically for survival.

If you give up the guns then you are dead anyway.

Better to resist until the end (and take as many of them when it comes).

And yeah, I’m trolling you a bit with the tone of this piece by saying what you “will” and “won’t” do, but it’s because I’m trying to slap you awake.

You know, I get pissed when some left-wing a-hole decides I need my consciousness raised, and I get just as pissed when some pretentious ass on the right does it. Slap me again and you'll pull back a bloody stump, boy.

The enforcement arm for this isn't going to be the NSA, it's going to be the IRS, because that's what 0bamacare has already established. It will proceed on indirect information impossible to prove in court, and if the government cannot switch the burden of proof to the accused, it's game over. Even with the Supreme Court that Hillary intends to pack, the civil disobedience this will stimulate will be drastically greater than the obedience - I cite both Canadian and Australian experiences in that regard. The first kids that go, there will be a whole bunch of social workers fearing for their lives, and justifiably so. The first property that's forfeited, the enforcers, auctioneers, and buyers will find pistols to their heads just as they did during the Great Depression.

Articles such as this one assume that the public that has put up with so much for so long will put up with anything forever. There is no more dangerous assumption to make in government.

When the government outlaws semi-automatic firearms, they won’t send cops or troops door-to-door to take them. No, first they’ll send out letters saying they know what you have, and that you have to turn it over by a given deadline or face a penalty.

It’ll be up to you to prove that you’re clean, and that you’ve handed over everything. They’ll have a list, and if they think you’re still holding, they’ll hit you with asset freezes.

The next insurgency must be handled much differently than the others. You need to identify THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS. Learn who they are, where they live and work, their travel habits and recreation, what makes them tick. At the first whiff (letters?) of an attempt to force a turn-in they must have "accidents" or simply disappear. Cut off the head, the snake will die.

They know what we have in our gun cabinet when we bought the gun. But, gee, I sold a few to guys I didn’t know and can’t remember who they were. If Hillary can’t remember then I can’t either.

And if we go the route of doing harm to their families, what make us any better than them? They (THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS) need to have "accidents" or just disappear.

It’s much easier to do than that.

You just make the propellants in ammunition a controlled substance requiring all kinds of permits and manufacturers either go out of business or the price goes through the stratosphere.
