Blue State Blues: President Obama Will Have to Pardon Hillary Clinton(Pardon w/o Indictment?)
Breitbart ^ | 9/9/16 | Joel Pollack

Posted on 09/09/2016 6:09:20 AM PDT by Be Careful

Clinton is still the favorite to win in November, but the mounting scandals will follow her to the White House — unless President Barack Obama pardons her, which looks both necessary and likely.

Can any president issue a blank check for all future wrongs if there is no criminal indictment? Will he indict and then pardon? Will she accept?

Of course he can! This is Biraq’s fundamentally transformed America, where the rule of law is for the commoners.

Been saying this from day one, win or lose Hillary will get a Presidential Pardon from Obama... Just another example of corruption that rules the political class.

This is a sad state of affairs. If she wins then this country is no longer the home of the brave but the home of idiots.

The pardon will not be for future wrongs. It will be for all her past wrongs. No indictment is needed - see Gerald Ford’s pardon of Richard Nixon.

Nixon was never indicted, but Ford pardoned him.

RE: can a president issue a pre-pardon?

Apparently Clinton did, and nobody questioned it.
The privilege of Presidential pardon needs to be drastically limited. Certainly need to exclude anyone with “connections” to the president such as family, donors and their families, the president's employees or former employees or political allies. Given Obama’s willingness to pardon thousands of violent criminals, maybe the pardon should be limited to persons whose guilt is in doubt or whose punishment seems in retrospect to have been severe. Possibly the pardon should be subjected to a 2/3 senate approval. All require a Constitutional amendment.

Can the Obamination of Desolation issue pardons for the entire DoJ? What about the IRS?

No need to. If, God forbid, Clinton is elected then Congress can vote to impeach her to their heart's content. She will never be convicted in the Senate.

Maybe he should pardon her before the election so that she’ll be eligible.

He can’t pardon her for violations of state criminal laws.

At this point it appears he can do whatever he wants, no one in Congress will stand up to him.

Consider the possibility that our former first couple could end up having to flee into exile should their plans not work out! Truly the sign of a banana republic.

A pardon applies only to crimes committed before a certain specific date.

Ford’s pardon of Nixon rested heavily on the 1915 case, Burdick v. United States. It established that accepting a presidential pardon is an admission of guilt, so indictment and conviction are not necessary.

I think once President Trump purges the FBI and DOJ and gets his SCOTUS, Hillary and the rest of the Clinton criminal enterprise will be taken down.

No, the crook has so be indicted to be pardoned. So maybe that was the reason the GOP hasn’t done anything but expose the crime. Comey said the voters will decide Hillary’s guilt or innocence on election day. However, that only works if there is no vote fraud, quite an assumption when the Clintons are involved.
