Wouldn’t they have to replace her with her VP?

I don't have a clue. The VP candidate was selected by the Nominated candidate & the Party, not voted on by the electorate.

The Democrats may be able to nominate anyone they choose, but they only have Hillary & Kaine registered to be on State ballots.

Any Freepers out there who know what the Law says?

Presidential elections are "strange." We voters do NOT vote for a candidate. We vote for a party elector, and the party elector votes for the candidate. The party can substitute nominee at any time up until the electoral ballots are sent to Congress, including AFTER THE ELECTION.

The appearance of "Clinton/Kaine" and "Trump/Pence" on the ballots is merely a convenience for the voters.
