Hillary's 'Deplorables'? What About Hillary's 'Generalistic'?
Townhall.com ^ | September 15, 2016 | Larry Elder

This political season means full employment for pundits, opinion givers, strategists and soothsayers, on cable television and via social media. It's interesting to watch the catch phrases, verbal crutches and tics speakers and writers use, which often, when examined, make little or no sense. We all do it.

Donald Trump is fond of saying, "That I can tell you." Does that mean he's sitting on the real bombshells?

Hillary Clinton, in her broadside against "half" of Trump supporters whom she said were a "basket of deplorables," actually invented what appears to be a new word -- "generalistic."

Clinton said, "You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic -- you name it." Hey, "deplorables" we get. Water's wet, the sky is blue. Republican politicians -- and their supporters -- are racist, sexist and homophobic, and they smell really, really bad. Clinton added: "And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people -- now 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric."

Well, before Trump arrived on the political scene, then-Al Gore campaign manager Donna Brazile, now interim chair of the Democratic National Committee, said the GOP has "a white-boy attitude." Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., accused then-President George W. Bush of an intentionally sluggish response to Hurricane Katrina because he wanted blacks to leave Louisiana to ensure it remained a red state. Frank called it "ethnic cleansing by inaction." Again, Democratic Politics 101.

But, "generalistic"? Inventing new words? Good, Lord! That just takes the normal political vitriolic combat to a new low. Now, we've come to expect verbal sloppiness from Trump. But Clinton is an Ivy-League-educated lawyer, and she's set the bar higher while consistently accusing Trump of lacking the temperament, judgment and knowledge to be president. Now Trump, in the opinion of his detractors, has demeaned Mexicans, a captured veteran, women, Muslims, the handicapped and others. But he has scrupulously avoided the use of the word "generalistic." For that alone he might carry a few swing states.

Now, while we're at it, do we need a presidential executive order from our next president to address following:

Why do people say "In other words"? How about getting it right the first time?

Why do people say "Not to change the subject" and then proceed to change the subject?

Why do people say they "could care less" when they really mean the exact opposite?

Why do people say, "Let me be perfectly honest"? Did I stop you?

Why do people say, "If you will"? Does it mean they'd shut up if you replied, "Now that you mention it, no, I believe I won't"?

Why do people say, "Here's what I think"? I certainly hope it's what you think. After all, I am talking to ... you.

Why do people say, "I've got good news and I've got bad news"? Doesn't everybody?

Why do people say, "Well, that's what you think!" Of course it is. Does it look like Karl Rove is standing here feeding me lines? If I were giving you your opinion -- one of us wouldn't need to be here.

Why do people say they "don't mean to interrupt" and then proceed to interrupt?

Why do people start a sentence with the words "I mean"? Can we stipulate that you do, in fact, mean it -- because the person who's speaking is ... you?

Why do people say "At the end of the day" -- as opposed to at the end of the month, year or decade? Is it a matter of short attention spans?

Why do people say, "Let me be candid"? What, did a judge place you under a restraining order? Permission granted!

Why do people call television the "boob tube" and then gripe, moan and whine that they can't find anything good to watch?

Why do people say, "Let me be as clear as I can"? Permission granted, but I want 10 pushups if you fall short.

Why do people say, "He's getting on my last nerve"? And just where exactly is that? On second thought, never mind, we'd rather not know.

Why do people say, "He was lying through his teeth"? As opposed to what? Lying through his butt cheeks?

Why do people say, "Silly me. I'm a complete idiot"? And you have to restrain yourself to keep from saying, "I was just thinking the same thing."

Is it November yet?

part of a collection of words she strung together that she hadn’t strung together quite that way before....like she did when we were called the vast right wing conspiracy - VRWC. Now we’re the Basket of Deplorables.

“But Clinton is an Ivy-League-educated lawyer, and she’s set the bar higher while consistently accusing Trump of lacking the temperament, judgment and knowledge to be president.”

Trump is an ivy league educated businessman. People seem to forget that Trump attended the Wharton School of Business. If you want to be a layer, you go to Harvard Law. If you want to be a doctor, you go to Hopkins. If you want to be a businessman, you go to Wharton.

“Irredeembable” is the word she used that should scare the living daylights out of you. Irredeemable lives right next to expendable on the road to the gulags, gas chambers and killing fields. It’s the word that drives the left’s insatiable urge to power because the power sought is the power to eliminate those who oppose the left.

Here's a looksee at people Hillary deems entirely "acceptable". Course
you may have to pony up ten million bucks to get on the list (smirk).

TIME MAG EXCERPT: Clinton is returning to a brutal contest with a skeptical audience at a critical time.

<><> New revelations about the Clinton Foundation’s dealings during her time at the State Department, while showing no evidence corrupt actions, have dogged her.

<><> She was criticized for maintaining a distance from the press.

<><> Despite the millions that Clinton has spent on advertising and Trump’s wide unpopularity, her lead over Trump diminished from 7 points in early August to just 3 points(and in some cases 6 points) as of today.

<><> She held just two public events in the two weeks before Labor Day weekend, a close look at her campaign’s schedule shows, while hosting 20 fundraisers..... from East Hampton to Silicon Valley, rubbing elbows with Cher, Paul McCartney Jimmy Buffet and Apple CEO Tim Cook.

<><> She took photo booth snapshots with Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

<><> she stayed overnight at the home of Haim Saban, who has given $10 million to Clinton’s super PAC.

Hillary fanatic Haim Saban has a non-profit..."The Saban Center". Saban subsidized a 34-page white paper titled, “Pathway to Coexistence: A New U.S. Policy toward Iran.”

NO CONCIDENCE The paper essentially forecasted Obama’s approach to dealing with Iran: (1) the largely hands-off approach to Iran’s bloody 2009 Green Revolution, and, (2) the present-day compromises on its nuclear program.

==============================================

The ties between the Clintons, Haim Saban, and Spanish TV television network---UNIVISION---run deep. Univision's newscasts gleefully bash Republicans and praise Hillary’s newly-minted position on immigration.

Network Owner Haim Saban’s unabashed support for Hillarys election effort segued into (surprise) a partnership between Univision and the Clinton Family Foundation.

====================================================

NY POST EXCERPT---Saban's Univision recently trotted out Bill Clinton to talk to advertisers----as private equity owners of the debt-laden company sweat. Univision’s owners are hoping to launch the IPO in just weeks.

Getting early commitments on ad spending from Madison Avenue would certainly make an IPO road show before potential investors that much easier....they hope to raise around $1 billion at a valuation of $20 billion, according to Reuters. (Univision has $9 billion in long-term debt.)

Mexican program provider Televisa also has an 8 percent stake.Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank — the lead underwriters — are getting ready to gin up some sizzle for a not very sexy Univision business: called free-to-air.

THE BIG BURRITO---HILLARY/BILL CLINTON MEDIA CONNECTION---Latino-TV Univision owner, Haim Saban described his formula to influence American politics: make donations to political parties, establish think tanks, and control media outlets. (WIKI)

WIKI—Saban became involved in politics in the mid-1990s when he felt that support for Israel was slipping in the United States.[5]

Saban has been a generous and consistent donor to the United States Democratic Party according to his mandatory Federal Election Commission filings.

Mother Jones, in an analysis of the major donors to the campaigns of 1998 election cycle, ranked Saban 155th among individual donors.[23] Amy Paris noted that Saban’s Clinton-era “generosity did not go unrewarded. During the Clinton administration, the entertainment executive served on the President’s Export Council, advising the White House on trade issues.”[23]

The New York Times reported that Haim and his wife “slept in the White House several times during President Clinton’s two terms.” Saban remains close friends with the former President. Clinton described Saban as a “very good friend and supporter.”[5]

Saban contributed between $5 million to $10 million to the William J. Clinton Foundation.[24]

During the 2000 presidential election, Saban increased his rank to 5th among individual donors with a combined contribution of $1,250,500.[23] Matthew Yglesias wrote that “Saban was the largest overall contributor to the Democratic National Committee during the 2001–2002 cycle.” [25] Saban’s donations during that 2001–2002 period exceeded $10 million, the largest donation the DNC has received from a single source up to that time.

In September 2004, Hillary Clinton described Saban as a very good friend, supporter and adviser: “I am grateful for his commitment to Israel, to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East and to my foundation’s work, particularly on reconciliation issues.”[5] In May 2007, Haim publicly declared his support for Clinton in 2008 presidential election.[20]

In June 2007, Saban and Steven Spielberg co-hosted a Hillary Clinton fundraiser at the house of Peter Chernin, the President of News Corporation.[26] According to the Los Angeles Times,[26] the fundraiser brought in over $850,000.

In March 2008, Saban was among a group of major Jewish donors to sign a letter to Democratic Party house leader Nancy Pelosi warning her to “keep out of the Democratic presidential primaries.”[27] The donors, who “were strong supporters of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton presidential campaign”, “were incensed by a March 16 interview in which Pelosi said that party ‘superdelegates’ should heed the will of the majority in selecting a candidate.”[27] The letter to Pelosi stated the donors “have been strong supporters of the DCCC” and implied, according to The Jewish Telegraphic Agency,[27] that Pelosi could lose their financial support in important upcoming congressional elections.

On May 19, 2008, it was reported that Haim Saban had “offered $1 million to the Young Democrats of America during a phone conversation in which he also pressed for the organization’s two uncommitted superdelegates to endorse the New York Democrat.”[28]

Saban, a long-time supporter and donor of many pro-Jewish and Israel causes, has stated his main goal in multiple interviews: “I’m a one-issue guy, and my issue is Israel.”[38]

Haim Saban touts himself as a worldwide pioneer and leader in the entertainment industry. He is the Chairman and CEO of Saban Capital Group, Inc.

LOL she used the word “generalistic” (which I winced at when I heard it) instead of “stereotyping” because that word has such a negative connotation.

She was absolutely stereotyping Trump voters...Shame on her!

The most unforgivable thing I think she did was the “nuts and sluts” program to destroy women who stepped forward and told the truth about either her husband’s assault or affair with them. It’s kind of hard to say “the most” but that’s at least waaaaay up there.

Liberals will never be forthright in speaking. It is in their nature to attempt to have others focus on the perfidy while digging the ground out from under them.

FOR INSTANCE....who took the video of HRC and her infamous Face Plant? How did the film artist manage to get through her locked down locked out SS protection (even though given short notice, they could have done a better job) This was NO ordinary passer by. To film it and walk on to later post it on Twitter....why is no one asking about this particular person and how and why he managed to make a mess of the demorat’s candidacy not to mention party. Google and attempt to find it...you will find nothing.
