Hundreds of thousands take to streets in Germany against Obama-backed trade deal (TTIP)

Hundreds of thousands of Germans took to the streets Saturday, in protest of pending trade deals with the United States and Canada.

The deals in question are the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the U.S. and the European Union and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) for the Canadian-EU relationship. Neither free trade agreement has been ratified yet, but popular outcry has been growing for the last few years.

The demonstrations took place in seven cities throughout Germany: Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart. Organizers told CNBC that the official estimate is 320,000 demonstrators across Germany.

In Berlin, where discussions of trade policy are frequently overheard in cafes and most available surfaces are plastered in posters and stickers against the deals, the largest demonstration of the day took place with about 70,000 attendees, according to the organizers.

Will wonders never cease. This goes against the passivity that is endemic to the Germans. Good for them. One of these days they may realize that Muttie Merkel has betrayed their country with her open borders policy. Let’s hope it’s not too late.

Does anyone seriously believe Merkel and her NWO supporters will pay any attention? These “agreements” will be shoved done the throats of the Europeans and Americans (if Hillary is elected).

Somebody needs to adjust the title. This is a separate trade proposal from TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership).

“What I would like to know is to whom does it give power to make excessive profits off of international trade ?

Everyone who has read it is sworn to secrecy. A senator said that only a small percentage of the treaty deals with trade. The majority of it deals with sovereignty issues, as in giving it up to foreign courts. Think not refusing refugees, enforced gun control, redistribution of wealth, halting “global warming.” You can be pretty sure this treaty is the globalist’s wet dream come true.

Send Obama, Biden and Illiarily and her health crew to talk with the individual Germans in the streets and try to explain how they know what’s best for German and American workers.

Americans are taking to the streets in the inner cities.

When things are bad everywhere like the inner cities then we have Venezuela.

Below is from a couple of different sources. But for me, the killer is I don’t trust Obama to act in the best interests of America or American citizens. Has he done one thing that is good for this country? Are we better off for the last eight years in terms of wealth, safety, or any aspect of culture? So, below is what I’ve read.

https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=what+is+in+the+tpp

Over the past 20 years, free trade agreements have served to disadvantage American workers, undermine domestic food safety and prevent developing countries from using sensible economic development policies to grow their economies. The TPP seeks to use the same recipe that brought us the disastrous 2007 financial crisis.

The deal will increase the flow of dangerous fish imports from Southeast Asia, lower our consumer product and food safety standards, force exports of liquefied natural gas to Japan and undermine financial regulations.

9. Why has the TPP been so secretive? Is that normal?

Trade negotiations are usually conducted in private, on the theory that parties won’t be able to have a meaningful dialogue if their positions are disclosed to the public. Accordingly, TPP parties have signed a confidentiality agreement requiring them to share proposals only with “government officials and individuals who are part of the government’s domestic trade advisory process.”

What’s different this time is the scale and scope of the agreement, and the reasons advocates have had to be concerned about its contents. Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) have been particularly vocal about the administration’s refusal to make draft text available, as have law professors and numerous public interest groups. There have been a couple major unintentional releases, most recently in mid-November, when Wikileaks published a controversial chapter on intellectual property.
