Colin Kaepernick's protest has turned ugly. The 49ers' quarterback revealed on Tuesday that he's received death threats from "a couple different avenues," according to Bleacher Report's Tyler Dunne.

The Mercury News' Cam Inman provided more information:

Kaepernick said he does not alert team security in the wake of such threats, because, "to me, if something like that were to happen, you've proved my point and it will be loud and clear for everyone why it happened, and that would move this movement forward at a greater speed than what it is even now.

We are proud of Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who has said that standing to honor the flag and the country is not optional for members of his team. We don’t watch NFL football but our son said the networks are giving the protesting players a lot of attention, cutting away from the flag to show the protesters. That is disgusting but typical.
