Patton is the one who should’ve become President in 1948. He would’ve stopped the Communist infiltration of our government dead in its tracks. Too many in power needed him dead, and they got their wish.

I am of the same persuasion. He had the Commies nailed dead to rights. He also had the American people with him. Only the lefty politicos were against him.

There was a book about the assassination of Patton, published circa 2005 from the diaries of an OSS assassin who shot him in the neck with a rubber bullet. The assassin died in 1999.That proved insufficient as he refused to die despite the broken neck. The book claims that the soviet NKVD was invited to finish the job with poison and did so. When Patton died, he had been scheduled to fly back to the US the following week.
My labor Democrat parents brought me up to firmly believe that Patton had been assassinated. They were right.
