This guy attended my local university and played baseball there. We teach em right at Southeastern Louisiana! The double standard is just mind boggling.
He’s been suspended without pay.
He wasn’t playing anyway, being on the 60-day disabled list, so the Mariners took the opportunity to grab some spare change (1/16th of his $500,000 salary).
Watching how the NFL handled this, I’d almost expect to see MLB fall in line and fire the guy. He’s not PC. You pay for that these days.
