Unsettling footage obtained by NBC News shows the moments leading up to the fatal police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The video, taken by Scott's wife, does not clearly show the exact moment he was shot by police on Tuesday. Scott is seen on the ground surrounded by police officers moments after the shots were fired. "He better not be f---ing dead, he better not be f---ing dead," Rakeyia Scott can be heard shouting at the officers. "He better live, he better live!" It is not clear what preceded the shooting.
The killing of Scott, 43, sparked three nights of fiery protests and violent clashes between protesters and law enforcement. Activists and the Scott family have pressed city officials to release bodycam or dashcam footage of the fatal encounter.
#1: Cops can repeatedly be heard telling the perp to "Drop the gun." They would not have said that had their been no gun.
#2: Wife / video shooter claims perp had no gun in his hand but she obviously has no view of what he has in hand.
#3: She tells him to cooperate with cops, so obviously he is not doing so.
Great video. Clears cops completely.
Except it doesn’t.
Alrighty.
So now, I guess the rioters are going to return all the goods they “liberated”, replace all broken glass, repair damaged vehicles and otherwise be fully accountable for a totally baseless act of wanton violence, destruction and theft. And that guy that was shot at one of the riots-they’re going to revive him. Right?
#4: She keeps telling perp to “don’t do it.” What was perp doing that she knew was wrong?
#5: “He just took his medicine” What behavior changing medicine had he just taken?
Remember: don not trust the big media, CNN, NBC, WoPo, ABC, WSJ, etc., they edit things to fit their agenda.

I don’t see a time bar on the NBC version, but if you look at the posting of this video by NYT and go to the 1:07 mark there is a still frame in which you can see Scott with his back to the camera, left arm straight down but right arm elbow crooked with his hand at his front waistband. Right after that there is a barrage of shots.
Open and shut case, he has a gun, she says “don’t do it” to him while they are yelling at him to drop the gun.
I watched this video a few times. It reminds me of the protestors videos where they show all the action until the real action and then they get interested in the grass real quick.
We missed the deceased exiting the vehicle, but he was out of the vehicle and there was a weapon on the ground. From the timing there is no way an officer could drop a “planted” weapon with 4 other officers around.
So, since the wife didn’t want to respect the investigation and released her own video - which is already being talked on the street as showing a cold-blooded killing, thereby inflating emotions again, it’s now necessary to release all videos, defense of the officers be damned.
We used to have a court system. Now life is a reality show. I’m glad I’m old.
At 1:08 the gun is in his hand, he's cradling it but not extending it.
I think she is yelling “don’t do it” and “don’t shoot him” at the cops.
She also says “he has a TBI” which MAY be Traumatic Brain Injury?
And .. the forensic tests of the “weapon” - which is clearly visable in the video - while the wife was swearing her husband didn’t have one; was found to have Scott’s blood and his fingerprints.
SOOOOOO .. THERE WAS A WEAPON .. AND THE FORENSICS PROVE HE HELD IT AND HIS BLOOD WAS ON IT INDICATING HE PROBABLY HAD IT IN HIS HAND WHEN HE WAS SHOT.

the last frame at 1:08 before they get blurry it looks like his right shoulder has dipped a little as if he has started to raise his gun, but it’s hard to say for sure.

I wish there had been as much media/public interest in the assassination of a cop in a Charlotte suburb a couple weeks ago.

Yes we also messed how he got from the drivers door all the way to the front of the police vehicle some 25 feet or so away.
