NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – A Black Lives Matter-aligned organization called ‘Take ‘Em Down Nola’ stormed New Orleans’ Andrew Jackson monument demanding all monuments related to the Civil War come down across the city. The monument which sits at the heart of the city’s historic French Quarter. Chanting “No justice, no peace” and “F*ck the police,” the group of protesters took issue with barricades and police guarding the iconic Jackson Square monument as a few members of Take ‘Em Down Nola immediately tried to jump the barriers, but were quickly apprehended by New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) officers.
The protests, for the most part, remained peaceful, though a number of protesters threw red paint-filled balloons at officers as well as their vehicles. At least one altercation took place, resulting in the arrest of a protester.

He was white which means he was AT LEAST 50% towards being white supremacist.
Civil court of opinion only requires 51% evidence for conviction.

That museum was originally supposed to be in NEW ORLEANS!!
It was being planned during the administration of former Mayor Marc Morial, who preceded Ray Nagin.
Grants were applied for, donations of cash and memorabilia poured in, to the tune of a few million dollars.
Morial appointed some of his relatives to the planning committee.
The funds disappeared.
And the African American History Museum in New Orleans was cancelled.
AFAIK, nobody went to jail.
Marc Morial now resides in NYC, where he is head of the Urban League. His wife, Michelle Miller, is anchorwoman for NYC’s CBC affiliate.
That’s pathetically funny. Andrew Jackson saved NO from a British sacking (I know an ancient term) in the War of 1812. Actually the Battle of New Orleans was fought after the war was officially over.
Of course they could have meant Thomas Jackson but I seriously doubt these protesters know any history. Sad.
I was looking at the comments on some “news” article earlier this year and ran across a claim about some 1920s riot that resulted in the “death” of some “10,000” (black) people. I think it was Oklahoma.
Claims were made that the “air force” even attacked the citizens.
So I looked up the details of the case.
Some try to claim 1,000 dead (I think the official tally of black and white deaths was around 110).
And the lynch mob was trying to kill a black man (they were unsuccessful, the lawman of the city prevented it) and the hate filled historians ignore that another man (white) had been lynched for some offense only a few months before in that same city.
And the “air force” was maybe one guy’s crop duster.
A good case study in the need, and respect for, the rule of law. Its that or mob rule.

Some in the chocolate city are intolerant of white people.
I am beginning to think a large number of the population do not understand what the concept of history is nor do they care.
Kinda starting to look that way...
More and more the great cities of America are being reduced to not much more than holding pens for criminals, druggies and ignorant blacks.
Where does this kind of thinking end?
No books in libraries that blacks find offensive, even if they can’t read them?
No art that offends them, even if they don’t understand it?
Nothing in the museums that remind them of history, or what the imagine to be history?
No street names that offend them?

Yes. I am aware of the significance. The British had just defeated Napoleon and decided to come over here to straighten the unresolved matter of Americans “Revolutionary War”. Old Hickory sent them packing with their tails between their legs (and the body of the Admiral of the British Fleet in a barrel, pickled).
Odd, it seems that andy cooper does most of the “sacking” over at cnn now.
They will NEVER admit it but this kind of trashy behavior does not sit well with “working class” people.
