There was some discussion last week about how NBC would try to physically aid candidate Hillary Clinton’s optics with a custom designed debate platform intended to give the viewer the a false illusion of scale and scope.
Well, it appears that NBC has done exactly that.
A comparison of both debate podiums reflects that one is visibly larger, and taller, than the other; and a debate standing platform is evident as the stage is being set up.

Remember reports of the MSM giving Bush a slightly smaller screen during split-screen shots? They can do other camera tricks too, such as show Clinton in tight close-up from the top of the podium, and show Trump in long shots to make him look small.

Trump needs to walk out first and take the little podium. Then when the “moderators” pitch a fit, feign ignorance and ask, “Well they are both the same, right?”
Trump should go in early and take her podium.
Hillary is showering with a bar of hotel soap, marveling at how massive her muscles are.
The larger podium is for Trump.
By giving Hillary a smaller podium, it will make her look as large as him when then cut back and forth between the candidates.
I also remember that in the Gore/Bush debates, the camera training on Bush was shaky.
It was distracting and uncomfortable to watch him with all the camera shake. It also gave a sense that what he was saying was unstable or precarious.
Where’s the mast they’re going to lash ILLary to?
Wouldn’t a taller podium would make her look shorter ? and making it wider would make it worse ?
Hillary Clinton will fall off that raise platform if they do not chain her to the podium.
I have a strange feeling we are seeing “rope a dope” here. DJT needs to be on his game tonight, not overconfident. Try and be measured, use subtle attacks when needed. No eye-rolling, no wild gestures. Look presidential. This is the media’s last chance to set the narrative. It is certainly a trap. But when Anakin asked Obi-Wan what to do, Obi-Wan said “Spring the trap”. Just be careful not to get snagged in it. I will be flying back to Texas from China so will miss the debate live. I look forward to reading the FR commentary when I get home Tuesday evening.

Trump should walk up to the smaller podium and see if anybody notices. Make the beast look like a pea sticking her head up.
It’s going to make her look smaller.
I’ll have to see it from more angles than that. It’s easy, simply by camera placement, to make one thing look bigger even though they are exactly the same size.
I’d like to see them literally side by side.
One can see a third of they way up from the bottom of each podium there is a removable block of wood to adjust the height slightly. Of course Buffalo Butt also needs a booster box to complete the illusion of height. Masters of illusion, that’s the MSM’s middle name...
