Apparently you've not had the pleasure off changing out a trigger group in a Ruger 22/45 pistol. You're in for a real treat.

I DID THIS.
When the instructors tell you that you need to flex the muscle on your thumb under the snuffbox in order to properly align the springs... you’re in for a treat.
I put that damned thing together 22-45 times before I got it right. And it fits together. It just doesn’t work unless specific lateral forces are on the spring too.
Once it’s together right, it won’t knock out of place but my god. It wasn’t gunsmithing. It was surgery.
Oh and then AND THEN AND THEN everytime you do it, it will accept different ammo ! IF you put it together wrong, it will only feed hot ammo. It’ll still work, it’ll just work with different brands and loads.
Amen!!! The 22/45 is a pure Hillary to take down!!!
I’ve been looking at a new 22/45, but I might just wait to see if Ruger brings the update to this model.
I disassembled a man’s Ruger .22 pistol one night at the plant.
Took about three seconds. It took him hours to figure how to put it back together.
I would take it, turn my back on him and have it together quick! Show it to him, then turn around and have it disassembled just as fast.
He cussed me all night long.
