Some here make me laugh. Why didn’t Trump say this, why didn’t Trump say that, what is wrong with Trump....
These are the same sort of people who think a policeman who shoots a perp should always be able to shoot him in the shoulder or leg, but never kill him.
Hindsight is ALWAYS 20-20.
Agreed completely.
How about....
Hillary - “Everyone is implicitly biased.”
Trump - “Maybe in your world that is true. Maybe among your globalist politician friends implicit bias is normal but in the market place racial bias is a crippling inefficiency. As a businessman, I cannot afford to be biased in my hiring. If I do, I would not get them best people for the job. That is why I have hired thousands of blacks, hispanics and women. I hire the best person for the job regardless of race. In the real world, in the business world, you can’t afford to be biased.”
I disagree with that completely. Holt was a non-issue. In fact, he barely spoke. I was left wondering if he went back stage for a drink at some point.
I agree totally.
When asked about cyber security, I can’t believe he didn’t say something about her lack of security concerns with her emails.
And he could have mentioned the fact that the Clinton foundation is a non-profit and doesn’t pay taxes because it’s supposed to be a charity, but very little money goes to charity, it pays for administration (Clinton and friends).
I agree there was a bigger audience for the first debate, also I would add that a lot of people will vote early, even before the debates are over.
I would think that the low info voters would notice how smug and elitist Hillary acted.
Sending him constructive advice is fine but don't despair.
I think Trump won on all the polls because the people love him and trust him, and they wouldn’t vote for Hillary as the winner coz’ they hate her and don’t trust her...and with cause. Trump was good, but not at his very best, and didn’t get the chance with Lester Holt always butting in. Next time he’ll wipe the floor with her, presuming she’s still “operative”...always a consideration with her health issues.
I wasn't trying to say that this fella, TangledUpInBlue, and others don't have some good points. Most of them do. But to send an email to the candidate hoping he will read it and follow your advice, is not realistic. There were probably 20 million other Trump supporters (and some maybe not) who think the same way and want Trump to know what they think he should have done differently instead of what he did in the debate. Good luck with that.
Just as a president can't listen to every Tom, Dick and Harry (apologies to any Tom, Dick or Harry's out there) who complains to the White House about their problems and offers their ideas of how to fix them, neither can a presidential candidate sift through unsolicited counsel from all quarters in order to decide how he should act or not say. Which one of the 20 millions pieces of advice does he take? Should he change his spots to match this "new" Trump?
The answer is no. We've had enough of politicians who have gone the scripted route. Trump is not like that. He says it like it is, good or bad. Warts and all, he is a refreshing voice in the political arena from the stale political sirens of the past. And right now, that would be the unindicted, dishonest, untrustworthy, national security risk, hilLIARy Rotten.
Trump needs to dance with the one who brung him this far....himself.
I'd have added... "From what I understand, you received millions of dollars to help rebuild Haiti, and managed to throw up a couple of huts. I think we can do better than that kind of result."
What do you suggest he do to prepare? Whatever he did was going to be wrong. There were those that in their expert opinion , opined that he was too aggressive and bullying. And at the same point in time, there were those whose knowledge, in their own minds at least, who knowledge exceeds that of Almighty God affirmed that he was too docile. Again, what would you suggest? This was not a debate. This was a Hillary lovefest. It was designed and carried out to showcase Hillary. It was to demonstrate that she knows everything about nothing. It was to affirm to all that needed to know that she could recite memorized lines and repeat the information fed to her through her ear piece. And this she did quite well. And its secondary purpose was to expose to the World what a bafoon Donald Trump was. How he bullies everyone, particuliarily women. How he rants and waves and stomps his feet when things do not go his way. How he cannot utter a sentence using words with more than two letters. None of this happened. What d did happen was that Donald showed the world through the Nationally televised farce that was probably picked up by International News Organizations what a despicable, deceitful, and treacherous group or reprobates the Democrat Party, the main stream media in the united States of America, are. In addition to exposing and baring Hillary Clinton’s true colors for the World to see. And he did it using their own words . Coming from their own mouths. In closing, how should Donald prepared for what he knew was coming?
I just read Roger Stone’s take on the cyber security question. He said possibly Trump purposely didn’t throw out Hillary’s emails because he was trying last night to appeal to undecideds, and didn’t want to appear mean and that those people already know about the emails.
Excellent post!
+1
I hope Trump has someone monitoring FR today.
Lot of good ideas here.
Except he interrupted Trump some 40 plus times. Ya he barely spoke alright.
Loose lips sink ships! The enemy is monitoring us, and our suggestions will get back to the other side which will look for ways to counter them and coordinate with the media to keep the topics out of play if they can't counter.
