Will Trump Show for Future Debates ?
self | 6/27/16 | self

Did John Dickerson just say what I think he said; "Trump probably can't get out of the rest of the debates."

Help needed as I caught only the end of his piece, but we can easily imagine what preceded. Time ! , Slate ! show massive Trump victories. Even NBC concedes Trump did well. OMG.

And Dickerson/CBS suggest he lost so badly he'd like to avoid further debates !

“her rictus smile”

good description. I was thinking to myself that she looked like a corpse or an incubus “smiling”.

The way the world works today, who won the debate is irrelevant. It’s who wins the spin that counts. Sad, but true.

Many people forget, or don't take into account, that Trump is brand new to this political genre. Yes, he's been a successful CEO and reality show star, but comparing his debate skills to those of hilLIARy is not an apples and apples thing.

He's used to doing. She's used to talking.

ILLiary could no more lead a successful real estate development company in New York City, than Donald Trump can match her debate skills. Besides being in many campaign debates over the years, she was a US Senator, the biggest debating society in the country.

Trump did just fine without having much political debate experience. He didn't have a melt down over insults or name-calling and he got some good points across. Rough around the edges some? Sure. But on the other side of the stage, hilLIARy looked too polished, rehearsed and scripted. A little too good. There's even a press report out of a Baltimore paper this morning, claiming the Clinton campaign was given all of the debate questions a week before the event. If true, no wonder she looks like she knew what the answers were so easily. She had practiced those specific questions' answers.

The debate was not about policy but exposing the two disliked candidates to the American voters for closer scrutiny. Outside of the obvious bias by the liberal moderator, both candidates came away not injured or bloodied more so than in the past.

Translation: Trump won the contest.

I loathe her speaking voice. Harsh, like a prison matron. She looks like one too.

She actually had a fairly good speaking voice during the 1990’s as First Lady. But now, she sounds like a grumpy old grandmother.

They never should have been missed the first time. She gave him plenty of ammo and for some reason he did not return fire. Maybe he was sticking strictly to the script but he better adapt so he can really mop the floor with her.

Hey, BPB, in the months of me not liking DT, I've learned one thing. The cat knows what he is doing, or more accurately his team knows what it is doing and he listens to it. Sure there have been mis-steps on his part; he wouldn't be "The Donald" with out them. Over all, his campaign has been masterful. There is a reason why he didn't bring the boom down last night. It will make it all the more interesting when he does*

* - With as screwy as things are in this country, there is a little part of me that wouldn't be too terribly surprised if Trump were to completely throw the election as a DNC operative. That's not a dig at Trump, just a nod at exactly how screwed up I perceive the system to be.

You’re joking about that voice, right?

Agree.
Clinton threw the kitchen sink at Trump. He missed some opportunities
but stood his ground. I don’t think Clinton has anything else to throw at Trump.
Trump can sharpen his counter points and not miss those opportunities
in the next 2 debates.
Trump did just fine.

She rarely mentions 'tax and spend", instead it's "invest". That was a very cleaver switch the liberals made in the Carter years. Liberal politicians never get called out for it. INVEST = TAX AND SPEND

Clinton aides are putting it out...Trump won’t do the next debates, as reported by Fox news babe.

The question was yelled out to Hillary! as she boarded her broom to NC.

As he has beaten her in debate one, Trump could simply choose to ignore the remaining debates, allowing Hillary to savor the taste of her defeat.
