Donald Trump’s running mate is breaking with the Republican nominee’s claim that climate change is not the result of human activity.

Vice presidential nominee Mike Pence said Tuesday “there’s no question’ that human activity affects both the climate and the environment. […]

Pence, appearing separately on CNN, said, “let’s follow the science,” but he warned against rushing into environmental restrictions that drive jobs out of the country and put Americans out of work. …

“The Earth doesn’t have a Thermostat”

I think it does. The more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, three things: (1) the planet warms which increases plant growth, (2) the greater amount of carbon dioxide also increases plant growth, (3) the greater amount of plant growth means greater consumption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which decreases the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Right, i don`t know why Pence even had to bring climate change up, i have never heard Trump say there was no such thing.

So Pence must be trying to get attention.

Still don’t see anything different.

I did quote “follow the science” in an earlier post. And if one actually does that, then there is indeed a question about human effect on climate, even to “some” degree, and saying “some” gives the Tobin-taxers an opening they do not have if indeed the science is followed.

Of course human activity affects the climate and the environment. But to say that human activity is what is causing climate change or global warming is nonsense.

Pence has not breaking with Trump on this issue.

The environment, perhaps. The climate, that is up to the maker of the planet.

Someone wake that dupe up. "Global Warming" is just a money grab scheme cooked up by Liberals to get more power.

Water Vapor is the most significant greenhouse gas on the planet, and if you think Humans created that 3/4ths of the earth surface that constantly emits water vapor, you are an idiot.

We have some effect on the planet. The real question to be debated is how much effect.

It is indeed a good thing that cars are dramatically cleaner than in the 60s, when my lungs always bothered me after a hard Little League workout. Smog alerts in the summer were the norm. Look at pictures of Beijing today. https://www.google.com/search?q=beijing+smog&rlz=1C1JZAP_enUS679US679&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjKzPvQlbDPAhVq6oMKHb79D34Q_AUICSgC&biw=1093&bih=560

Man has done some damage. And the more people on the planet results in more of man’s impact.

We should all try to do little things to lessen the impact. I cut grass with a push mower -— the only fuel is me. I often walk to the store with a backpack if I am just getting a few things. And I try to combine errands when I am out in the car. It is not that hard to do.

Unfortunately, rather than encouraging everyone to do the little things that can help, the left has co-opted the issue and uses it for their own power and controlling lives.

I met Ed Begley, Jr. at an automotive event in L.A. For him, I have respect. He rode a bike to the event and does not live in a 20,000 sq ft house that uses as much energy as probably 50 families. He does not own a Sundance ski resort where people collectively drive hundreds of thousands of miles in polluting vehicles. STFU, Redford.

It really is a good thing if we do simple things to conserve what God has provided to us.

Really, Mike? Really? Are there any other concessions that you would like to make to Progressives?

And that's another point. Even if something is "true" (which this is not), You never come out and agree with Liberals about anything. You stay on message and call them power hungry fascists intent on controlling people's lives.

Do not treat them as though their opinions are reasonable. NEVER NEVER NEVER concede anything to your enemies, especially not in public.

Pence didn’t bring it up. Did you view the entire interview? This is a tempest in a teapot perpetrated by CNN and the Left.

Mike Pence said Tuesday “there’s no question’ that human activity affects both the climate and the environment

So, the next step is big government control of people and the economy. So basically, if he wants to avoid contradictions, there is nothing stopping him from becoming a libtard.

Turns out this is an AP smear from a Chris Coumo interview on CNN. Pence handled the subject perfectly in keeping with Trump’s point of view that “Washington bureaucrats can not control the climate of the Earth”.

China has nearly all of the manufacturing that we used to have. Somehow, we survived all that, as they are surviving. They apparently banned leaded gasoline after 2000, but there have been recent reports of it still being in use.

I’m still in agreement with Hamilton’s outlook on the USA “possess(ing) within itself all the essentials of national supply … compris(ing) the means of subsistence, habitation, clothing and defense”, and I believe that pollution controls (on genuine pollution, not carbon dioxide gas) can be attended to by the private sector without the growth of overbearing executive departments that suck up treasury money to make business too expensive and too untenable to conduct within US borders.

Human activity is just one agent that affects the many variables that have an impact on the climate. It is minuscule compared to many other factors. Volcanoes impact climate change to a much greater degree. So does the Sun. The climate has been changing for billions of years. Man has been on the scene rather recently.

Pence said follow the science and not take actions that will destroy our economy.
