Representative Jim Joran (R-OH) is able to establish with FBI Director James Comey that top Hillary Clinton I.T. Aide was online using Reddit to attempt to cover up production of documents, email addresses and then later "covering up the cover up."

Comey has a 10-year contract and is immune to firing from the President. He can only not be re-appointed.

Nothing new. There is one set of guidelines for the political class and a completely different one for the rest of us. Part of the reason why we little people should never, ever answer questions from the police.

That is probably true, but with all the immunity agreements in place, nothing will come of this investigation. The only one I see who may have some jeopardy is the IT guy from Platte River. He could have his agreement revoked if he lied to the FBI.

A lot will depend on whether Trump is elected. If so, I could see Rudy Giuliani appointed AG. There could be a lot of “whistleblowers” coming out of the FBI/DOJ ranks that could implicate Comey and Lynch as co-conspirators.

Also, it’s been very quiet on the Foundation front as of late. That could be Comey’s get-out-of-jail free card. If Hildabeast loses, he could proceed with that investigation which could snare the entire Clinton clan. The email scandal is a small fish in a bigger cesspool of Clinton crap. Comey may be buying time with this one until he sees which way the election goes and if Trump prevails, look for an Obama pardon for Hillary, Chelsea, and Bill. He’d also have to pardon himself if he (Obama) turns out to be the VVIP.

FBI Director James Comey should be indicted, tried, and convicted for giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and then sentenced to be publicly hanged. Comey’s bloated and maggot-infested carcass should be left to rot off the noose.

Comey does not know if his agents spoke of these pieces of evidence to justice department who declined to press an indictment.

Gowdy fails to follow up and make him go find out.

Comey is always absent, or does not know anything, at pivotal moments of the biased decision making.

He did not bother to take the findings to Lynch, but sent the case by what? Bicycle?

Unbelievable “fixing” made easy and no finger prints.

He’s never going to have a “Mussolini” moment. He’s also not dumb either. He knows if Hillary is elected, he’s safe as he protected her. If not, he’s got his “golden ticket” to save his ass. For him it’s a win-win.

If he recommended an indictment, that would have forced his boss to make a decision that could open the door for criminal charges all the way up to Obama. This way, he can control the outcome.

Comey’s a lawyer. Hillary could reward him with a Federal Judgeship or Supreme Court appointment if he plays ball. Trump wins...he’s got the goods on Hillary, Bill, and the Foundation. Not a bad bargaining position to be in. Trump can’t touch him as he is in the middle of a 10-year term. He can retire, collect his pension and fade into the woodwork.

Tonight, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) featured the movie "The Naked Gun - From The Files Of Police Squad", starring Leslie Nielsen as Detective Frank Drebin.   After watching the hearings this morning, where FBI Director Comey was being grilled again about the new information that has come to light (which plainly revealed many of his lies and treasonous coverups in his previous testimony), and the movie tonight, I noticed that Comey bore a striking resemblence to Detective Drebin in that movie.   (Of course with Comey forgetting so many things, and not being aware of this, that, and the other thing, and not investigating much of anything regarding the classified emails / illegal server / perjury / obstruction of justice, or anything else for that matter, the differences between Comey and Drebin (besides Comey's darker hair) from the evidence of his unbelievably ignorent and obfuscating testimony, include the fact that Comey is certainly a lot more stupid, and dishonest, and boneheaded than even Detective Drebin in that movie.)

In real life, Comey has no shame.   If he had a shread of decency and dignity about himself, he would have resigned in disgrace by now.

He has besmirched his office, and has seriously tarnished and sulleyed the image and integrity of the FBI, and should be replaced immediately. When Trump takes office, he should immediately do whatever is necessary to have Comey removed from office, and begin taking steps to prosecute Comey to the fullest extent of the law, for his many crimes, including perjury, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to conceal felonies, lying to Congress, etc., etc., etc.   He is a disgusting, disgraceful, despicable bag of scum, and he belongs in the harshest prison in the system, getting the justice he richly deserves.

Congress has the authority to arrest and imprison those found in Contempt. The power extends throughout the United States and is an inherent power (does not depend upon legislated act)

If found in Contempt the person can be arrested under a warrant of the Speaker of the House of Representatives or President of the Senate, by the respective Sergeant at Arms.

Statutory criminal contempt is an alternative to inherent contempt.

Under the inherent contempt power Congress may imprison a person for a specific period of time or an indefinite period of time, except a person imprisoned by the House of Representatives may not be imprisoned beyond adjournment of a session of Congress.

Imprisonment may be coercive or punitive.

In one of the cited cases a witness was ordered to appear with his files etc - a subpoena duces tecum was issued - and the files were destroyed. In another case a witness ignored subpoenas and repeatedly failed to appear. In both the witness was found in contempt and imprisoned.

Destruction of materiel under subpoena, failure to appear... just like the current situation. The only difference is now the weasels in Congress shirk their duty and attempt to pass it off to an Executive agency.
