I suspect Trump simply had more supporters watching the debate than Clinton did -- which is very telling itself.
Someone posted a figure before the debate indicating that Trump has 65% more Twitter followers than Clinton does. That itself is also very telling.

On Fox News there was consensus that Trump’s big margin in on-line who-won-debate polls (typical result 80/20 Trump)was from Trump fans voting in large numbers (mostly Freepers?) and as often as possible.They wish. Too bad you fell for that one, hook line and sinker.
BTW, there really aren't that many "freepers".
So FOX believes that ONLY Trump fans scramble to vote in online polls and ONLY Trump fans including FReepers will rush to vote as often as possible???
Clinton fans, I guess in FOX’s eyes, are more sedate and honest as they don’t bother and if they vote, it’s only once....

He needs to be much better prepared next time, I don’t care how he plans to make that happen. He needs to speak in complete sentances, make your point, “make the sale”, then STOP TALKING!
What I saw in the first 30 minutes, was that Donald was already overtalking, some may have called it filabustering or trying to run out the clock. Don’t try running out the clock till the last third of the debate.
Some may interpret run on talking as a speaker trying to convince himself of his own argument.
Other than we, who want red meat for entertainment and revenge on her, that’s the wrong approach.
He isn’t trying to show how much he can attack her. He is projecting strength, and swatting her away like a gnat.
She looked like a Chihuahua barking at him, and he simply swatted her away with the amount of power needed and no more.
He’s smart and just watch election day.

Re-watch the first 45 minutes of the debate. It’s Trump lecturing Hillary and everyone on how the world works and how the bought AND paid for politicians are selling out America and companies are leaving, the FED being political and keeping interest rates near zero creating this bubble stock market and bubble (fake) economy , what politicians like Hillary really are (corrupt bought and paid for you know what)etc.

Oh come on. The questions asked by Lester Holt should have been easy for him to deflect. Stead he accepted the promise of the questions and got on the defensive.
For example....Holt asked him about his support/non support of the Iraq War.
His answer should have been something along the line of.....I was a private citizen and had absolutely no say whether we went to Iraq or not. The politicians like Hillary didn’t care about my opinion and I didn’t vote for it, Hillary did. The better question would be to her about why she voted to go into Iraq and then later changed her mind and refused to support it. She left our brace young men in the military hanging without support.
