I totally agree about being better prepared, but with 40-days left it’s a tall task changing the personality of a 70-year old (very successful) Alpha male who isn’t a politician. IMO he needs to start the next debate off by telling the audience he’s about to engage with both Clinton & the media. Then let Trump be Trump and let him tear her to bits. Our nation depends on it.
Birther, taxes, statements about women, Iraq war, among others. Issues where he is on the offense - e-mails and the FBI findings of reckless conduct, Clinton Foundation and its conflicts of interest, being owned by special interests, Clinton’s treatment of Bill’s victims, among others.

Among my conservative friends who have voted for and will vote for Trump, and who also public speak for a living, Trump got very poor marks. I read most of the debate. It reads slightly better than it was on tv.
It’s silly to say he won, altho I don’t necessarily think it was fatal or will cost him that many votes. Hope not.

He could prepare just like Hillary until he could spout off a bunch of meaningless gobbedlygook. But even if he was the most glib speaker ever he STILL wouldn’t “win” the debate in the eyes of the MSM. It’s a RIGGED GAME. So I like his attitude which is “I’m not playing by your game and not listening to your opinions.”

The “media” are an embarrassment to the First Amendment. They are biased losers.

Her best strategy would be to avoid being seen in public until election day.

I think it definitely was not a factor. During the primaries Trump won every debate by wide margins in the Drudge polls. Other polls too. Noting that, who now is the nominee?

Hillary, playing the simpering coquette, put everything in the front window. Now he knows what she has, so buckle up. He was pissed after that debate only because she is such an audacious filthy liar, who is gas lighting the country he loves. He eliminated 17 qualified, experienced opponents in the primary. Hillary wouldn’t have been able to beat and old cranky communist Bernie, if not for Wassermans manipulations. Sorry to ramble, but let Trump do what Trump does best. Win.
He is interviewing for the job of President and no one wants Hillary.
Only hope that he starts to lower the boom on her starting with the next debate and finishes her of in the last. He needs to do this
My wife and I are in this boat too. We were hanging our heads and moaning. He seemed to interrupt a lot, over defended himself using points that only those “in the know” already know and that were too “inside baseball” for the uninformed to get. He spent way too much time defending himself. It was kind of like Hillary was RopeADoping him. The optics were poor. He was negative (with good cause) and she was positive. He frowned and scowled, she smiled. He didn’t really give off many positive vibes. I was worried. I thought he lost big time. What he said didn’t matter, it was the optics.
BUT I did vote for a win on Drudge :) Anyway, I thought he’d get clobbered Monday morning but I am shocked but happy that it seems like he won! What do I know.
