Clinton leads Trump in New Hampshire
WBUR ^ | September 30, 2016 | WBUR

A new WBUR poll (topline, crosstabs) shows Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 7 points among likely voters in New Hampshire, one of the key battleground states that could determine the outcome of the presidential election.

The survey also found that by a wide margin, voters believe Clinton was the clear winner in Monday night's debate against Trump.

The live telephone poll of 502 likely voters was conducted Sept. 27-29. It has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.

The new survey is in line with a number of national and battleground state polls that have come out since Monday night's debate. They suggest that after watching her sizable post-convention lead over Trump all but disappear, Clinton has put the brakes on her fall and has gained some ground. According to the WBUR poll, in New Hampshire, she now leads Trump 42 to 35 percent.

502 likely voters, eh? Polling on a budget.

Well, it is a small State, I guess.

(Not a definitive poll by any imagination stretch.)

I guess winning a debate means you get a lot fewer questions, or which side the moderator supports.

If Trump doesn’t get back on message, stick to the key issues that Americans care about, he’s going to blow this thing. Just my humble opinion.

She won the debate, but Romney won the first debate too. If he practices more, there is so much he can use against her. He did some good things, but he was fighting two people, not one. If she goes into the weeds next time, he’s either going to have to go in and hit her hard or stay out of them and show his positive play for America. Show America why he’s better than her.

“502 likely voters, eh? Polling on a budget.”

Only polling their Democrat friends.

These polls are all biased.

trump is ahead by a large margin.

-- If Trump doesn't get back on message, stick to the key issues that Americans care about, he's going to blow this thing. --

To the extent Trump stays on message, Camp Crooked and her press operation are free to slime Trump without challenge. They will take advantage of that freedom.

Whether or not giving them that freedom hurts his campaign is arguable, I suppose.

His lack of discipline and focus is really starting to hurt him. Kelly Ann needs to lay down the law with him.

We cannot afford to lose this election. Its our last chance.

NO she isn't ahead...this is the Clinton Campaign Staff (MSM) trying to keep her ahead to bring dis-pare to the Trump Supporters, we are smarter than this...

She is counting on people not registering to vote and also by her paying to bus in voters, plus the ‘dead file’ vote...

Trump is leading and has been for a while, she is very desperate and will do anything she can to get this rigged...

Totally agree. It is a setback week. So he needs to move on from what he learned from the debate and stay of the woman from the pageant nonsense.

Talked with my brother who lives in NH.
Average voters there tend to like non-confrontational candidates unless they are democrats.
He said it will be hard for Trump to win NH.

[“502 likely voters, eh? Polling on a budget.”]

They must have taken the poll at their local McDonald’s and asked only the people that they knew.

Fix has been in since the get-go. Screaming and shouting-down stage has just begun in earnest. Gonna get very loud for the next month or two.

I appreciate what you’re saying. He feels compelled to respond. However, in the long run its all about the key issues that people care about (jobs, economy, immigration, trade deals, getting rid of Obamacare, etc). He has to show he can fix those problems. Those issues far outweigh the weight of a beauty contestant.
