You may want to go look at where most of the profitable Ford cars are being made.
I wouldn’t have a problem if the UAW produced a great product for the $55/hr they get on average. As I drive to the dealership to get yet another part for my UAW made car (which I am actually about to do) that shouldn’t have broken as early as it did, I can’t help but think they’re severely overpaid for what they produce.
The larger and fancier the car, the higher the price, the greater the profit margin is. Most of those cars and trucks are made in the U.S. Ford is moving the cars they make the least on to the lower cost countries.

The UAW workers manufacture the car. They don't design it. They don't engineer the individual pieces. If a part in your car has gone bad then shouldn't your ire be directed at the executive who decided to use the lower quality part? Or the supplier who made it? I've owned Fords all my life. My dad built Fords for over 30 years. I would still stack the quality of a Ford up against a Chevy or a Dodge any day. Those cars are designed on the cheap, they are manufactured with cheap parts, and the end product is shoddy. But you can't blame the line worker for that.
