Clinton Campaign Cancels Joint Events With Bernie Sanders

Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders are having a campaign-trail split following the leak of a recording in which Clinton disparaged Sanders’ younger supporters. Instead of having joint events on Monday, Sanders is going to Iowa and Wisconsin on Wednesday, reports TheHill.com.

The split gives the establishment media three days to shift their attention away from Clinton’s recorded speech, where she showed contempt for Senders’ supporters.

“There’s just a deep desire to believe that we can have free college, free healthcare, that what we’ve done hasn’t gone far enough, and that we just need to, you know, go as far as, you know, Scandinavia, whatever that means, and half the people don’t know what it means but it is something that they deeply feel,” she said.

Apparently Hillary thinks Bernie's peeps are deplorable too. Sorry Hillary, but smug and condescending just doesn't play well in broad sections of this country.

It played well with her core when she did it to Trump at the debates.

Hillary has an innate ability to rub folks the wrong way. She will be fortunate to get 39% of the popular vote November 8th.

She is slowly being turned into Cersei Lannister (Game of Thrones reference). If the cirrent narrative holds, she will be one of the most hated public figures ever.

"Instead of having joint events on Monday, Sanders is going to Iowa and Wisconsin on Wednesday, reports TheHill.com."

This might be a relief to the parents of his peeps. Getting them to come out of their basements will be good for them, get them some fresh air and sunshine. Give the parents a little time to clean up their rooms, throw away the cheetos bags and slim jims boxes.

Other than that, he could have had enough pride to come down with pneumonia and respectfully decline to continue campaigning.

Fun part is that he could claim that he caught it from Hildy. How could she dispute it?

What a tragicomedy spectacle this is. Bernie’s supporters believe that the primary was rigged and they know that Hillary has contempt for him, and them. Yet here he is, going around and asking his peeps to vote for her. What must they be thinking when the see him now?

Yesterday Bernie said she was right, his supporters do live in the basement.

Yup, Bernie said:

“Well, I agree with her, what she is saying,” he said on CNN. “There are young people who went deeply into debt, worked very hard to get a good education, and yet get out of school and can’t get decent jobs … and are living in their parents’ basements. There is a point there.”

Both miss the obvious point: a college education isn't necessarily a ticket to a good job. A "good" education is a lot more than just graduating.

Too many people go to college, take easy courses during the day and party all night/weekend, then graduate with a worthless degree in sociology, women's studies, liberal arts, or similar.

The only use for many college degrees is teaching that subject to newer students. But, there is a very limited demand for academics.

A degree in education can get you a teaching job in primary (K-12) schools, but you'll have to be willing to move and/or work in crappy schools until you get enough experience to leverage that into a better position. But, it's likely to be relatively low pay, especially at the beginning.

The only way to be sure a college degree is a ticket to a good job is to learn a marketable skill. That means a hard subject like engineering, or accounting. But, you have to choose your specialty wisely, because the demand is subject to boom and bust cycles, and off-shoring.

General business and marketing degrees are becoming less and less valuable unless you have a social connection (parent, relative, friend) to get you into a starting position. Even an MBA isn't always helpful if it is not paired with an underlying bachelors degree in a marketable skill.

OK, he got a nice summer cottage for 600K, what does he get next for supporting her on the campaign trail? If he didn’t would he get a drone strike for his new place?

I think his announcement of buying that house, was a signal to his supporters that he had to bow out. The timing was so strange.
