I’m boycotting and so are many of my friends.

If colleges start this crap and don’t get the players in line, I’ll boycott them as well.

It’s a huge honor to play games and get paid big money or get a free college ride.

They don’t like this country, fine. I’m not legally obligated to watch or support financially people who hate America.

Many fans will find out life is better without football. If they don’t act soon, they’ll lose these fans forever.

Ditto what you said.

I don't think "honor" is the right notion. The skilled players get a windfall by dint of being skilled at a currently popular game. No hard feelings from me for that, widfalls are great to the beneficiary, and harmless to the rest. But there is no honor in a windfall.

Limbaugh said that the ratings have been sagging for a while. To me, the disrespect for the military and police is unforgivable, and it may have been a final straw for many people who were dissatisfied with what the NFL is putting out. One of my pet peeves continues to be the stupid celebratory dances after tackles or catches.

It's bad enough too that there so many commercial breaks. The commercials are unwatchable at times. Social feel good crap.

Nineteen percent down? That’s quite a bit. I suspect the value of advertising time for sale will be going down too.
This is a prolonged trend. Not just a one week situation.
Ask Target Stores how a customer boycott can effect the bottom line.

Are they taking into account the number of people watching the games on their laptops?

That’s how I watch most sports these days.

YOU’RE RIGHT!!!

But I will keep watching the Jets (stop laughing) and maybe another game here or there. It’s really the only sport beside boxing (which has been replaced by MMA and I am an ex boxer) that i watch.

But plans to go to two games cancelled. NO hats or other ### for the nephews and nieces.

THEY’RE not going to any games.

They lost maybe a grand or two in my family alone.

Good! Terry Bradshaw said when these “protests” hit the owners bottom line, you will see them do something about it.

I haven’t watched a game this season. Saw a news photo of one of the Colts pulling this crap. That sealed it for me.

Yeah, it figures all this is going on the one year the Vikings finally figure out how to throw the football to go along with their defense.

Regarding MNF, Tirico is ok, but I never liked Gruden. But I’m boycotting the NFL permanently, unless it changes its corporate attitude on political/social issues.

I’m doing something more damaging than boycotting. I’m losing interest in them. These players better wake up and realize that making people dislike you isn’t bright for an entertainer.

"The commercials are unwatchable at times. Social feel good crap."

The commercials are now very careful to pay obeisance to left-wing pieties, everything from gay marriage to "inclusion" to "diversity" to "sustainable" to "giving back to the community." Lots of phony prattle about "family" and "community" to the accompaniment of soft pianos and acoustic guitars.

I am not boycotting anything....I just don’t care to be insulted on a regular basis and I too have freedom of choice and assembly...

A few weeks ago, Seahawk punter Jon Ryan said he didn’t want people who oppose gay marriage as Seahawk fans. My reaction was, “Ok, Jon, as you wish.” Haven’t watched since. Then BLM sealed the deal.
