Just saw the entire Trump / Billy Bush tape on CNN and it was an eye opener versus reading the transcript.
I admit I was worried about the impact of the transcript, and still am. But ... after watching and listening, it is 100% obvious Trump was goofing and giggling around, being silly, light-hearted and playful, and Billy Bush was giggling uncontrollably because Trump was being totally silly to entertain him.
Even the story about pursuing some married woman was pretty lightly related, but that part did sound like it's based on a real life Donald attempted and failed flirtation.
The rest of it was NOT any kind of serious statement about being able to "grope" women. He is joking about taking a tic tac in case he uncontrollably starts kissing beautiful women. That's when the laughing starts. Then it's a bunch of sophomoric playing about how "stars" can do anything they want and women allow it, including grabbing their *****. His audience is agreeing and giggling along throughout because they are being silly together.
This horseplay continues with Trump joking about how he best not fall out of the bus like the time Gerald Ford fell over.
You can criticize him for playing around and joking in a crass way, but it was all silly boys' talk. This was not even remotely a serious comment about kissing women without permission or anything like it. The whole thing was a joke and I defy anyone listening to it to say otherwise.
Yes it does matter, most of us with a sense of humor have entertained men and women alike by being completely and outrageously silly, and that's what this was.

Lol! In our house, “P*ssy” is not an offensive word.
Our fluffy, beautiful little baby girl (who we just had to put to sleep due to kidney failure) was called Big P*ssy.
We were at a campground, and the kids were yelling to Dada “Where is Big P*ssy at? Bring Big P*ssy into the RV!” The family at the site next to us later told us they were dying laughing.
Guys talk smack. Any woman who thinks that guys don’t talk like that behind closed doors is a fool.

You nailed it perfectly. When he was on the bus with the young Bushie, they engaged in typical male locker room lewd banter (aka BS). Upon exiting the bus and encountering the young lady Trump transitioned to being the perfect gentleman treating her quite properly & respectfully.
I watched that video. I was reminded of scores & scores of private conversations with guy friends sitting around playing poker, lying to each other about our “conquests & failures” regarding women. Tain’t no big deal to me.
