Blaming the russians strikes me as falling back on the old boogy-man fears. It could've been them, but it also could have been any one of a half dozen or so other regimes, or some truth seeking hackers. I certainly don't consider the claims it was the russians, anything shoveled out by the 0bama-klinton regime as "truthful".
Well, if we allow this election to be stolen, I wonder if they are going to blame the Russians for the massive civil unrest that will target the elites.

Blaming the Russians allows them to frame the results of the leaks as unpatriotic. The more interesting facet is that the hacking program is described as highly sophisticated, at the same time the Clinton machine insists her server wasn’t hacked.
Trump is reasonable, negotiable and won’t likely arm islamists.

You are absolutely correct. Republicans and conservatives don't do civil unrest. Civil unrest is usually the province of either paid-for protesters organized by a core anti-American group(e.g the CPUSA that is behind the Black Lives Matter movement)or people who feel that they are part of an idea--America--worth dying for.
This latter group I would call PATRIOTS.
Putin is looking past Hillary to Tim Kaine as the almost immediate successor for president on the Democrat ticket—a probable nut-job in line for the top power position.
