Trump's 'you'd be in jail' debate jab at Clinton condemned

Donald Trump says he’ll jail opponent Hillary Clinton if he wins the presidency.

The Republican presidential nominee made the threat — an unprecedented break with U.S. political decorum — in the middle of the second presidential debate, held Sunday in St. Louis. […]

Trump's remarks drew widespread and bipartisan condemnation as un-American.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder, who served under President Barack Obama, wrote on Twitter: “In the USA we do not threaten to jail political opponents. @realDonaldTrump said he would. He is promising to abuse the power of the office.”

Ari Fleischer, White House press secretary under George W. Bush and a supporter of Trump, wrote: “Winning candidates don’t threaten to put opponents in jail. Presidents don’t threaten prosecution of individuals. Trump is wrong on this.” …

That was a mistake on by Trump, who has now given Obama justification to pardon Hillary.

Sorry but it was bush league. Never tip your hand to the opponent of what you are going to do.

The common denominator in many of these unprecedented political actions of the last 25 yrs is the presence of the Clintons, not Trump. These “breaks” with normalcy are necessary to recover our decorum.

Hillary would need a trial. But she has committed felonies in such great quantity that she may be convicted if there were ever fairness in this country.Hillary would need a trial. The one fly in the special prosecutor ointment is the grand jury. It would, of necessity, be a D.C. grand jury. It's doubtful that such a jury would return an indictment on a prominent Democrat.

Remember the Scooter Libby jury...???

Oh, I see. Now it's a "breach in decorum". LOL. That's how you know you scored big.

Hello Ari,

Welcome to the new world. Things change. Decorum among them.

Trump speaks the plain truth. She belongs in jail. When a president states “I’ll put criminals behind bars” he means “I will put” “Criminals” and “Behind bars”

Welcome to the new America. We’re done with the polite bullshit. The polite bullshit lost our country.

"He is promising to abuse the power of the office.”

Whoever would do such a thing?

Leave it to a former Democratic AG to totally misrepresent what Trump said....

Clinton....”Its just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law of our country.”

Trump....”Because you’d be in jail.”

These fact checks are a joke. It’s more like “opinion you need to spew to prop up Hillary” checking. Read the so called fact check linked above. What exactly is a fact in that blather outside of “natural gas companies are booming due to fracking (which is evil from what liberals are programmed to spew)?

If you’re fighting with a liberal about anything and they pull a snopes card, ask them if they actually read the article. They usually only read the headline. In *many* cases, “false” simply means “here’s an alternative way to look at something that makes the liberal look good and the conservative look bad”. Ask them specific questions about such opinion in a “fact” check and then brace yourself for a form of logic that will leave you in tears.

Holder was Attorney General during her reign at State. Chances are he was copied into emails from HillarysPotty.com. So he should have known about and understood the risk of her illegal server.

Hopefully Holder will be prosecuted as well for his illegal use of the IRS, etc.

This brings to mind the AMA a supposed insider from the FBI did at Reddit a few months back.

He said something along the lines of there is so much crime and corruption among the ruling class in DC they would be practically bringing down the whole shebang if they prosecuted it.

He may have indeed said ‘you’d be in jail’, however the headline states: Donald Trump says he’ll jail opponent.

There is a difference with saying you'd be in jail, and saying I will jail you. If in fact if he uttered those words, ‘you’d be in jail’, it would have been in reference to if she were treated the same as anyone else who had done what she did with sensitive information that is classified. Actually, what I remember him saying is she deserves to be in jail.

I'm just trying to point out how the press tell lies and get away with it. Because most people will think that he indeed did say he would jail her.

Former Temple police officer Erick French II was arrested Thursday after a two-count indictment of making false statements to federal investigators.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Texas, alleges that French, 24, lied to FBI agents on March 16 and March 21, 2016, in order to hide the fact that he sent a text message alerting someone of an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Temple Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit.

Like the poor guy whose video got blamed for Benghazi, right?

Or Assange.

Or Snowden.

(Which of those two did Hillary threaten to kill with a drone strike?)

And what about pardons of international fugitives like Marc Rich?

...and what about plea deals with immunity which allow the underlings to destroy key evidence?

And what about Scooter Libby?

You corrupt little token.
