By conventional wisdom, Donald Trump entered Sunday nights debate with a nearly impossible task: trying to rehabilitate his bid for the White House after the worst two weeks a modern presidential candidate has had. The tape that surfaced Friday of Trump talking in 2005 in disgusting, coarse fashion about women what he considers a seduction technique sounds like sexual assault broke the Republican dam and triggered a flood of GOP lawmakers abandoning his candidacy.
Trump not only seemed to slow the bleeding, he might have stopped it. His demeanor and delivery were far better than in the first debate. He weathered the inevitable questions about the 2005 tape without further self-damage, and then he launched effective attacks on Hillary Clintons record as secretary of state even as she played defense well.

I do think that Trump should have tried to get in something about Haiti, since the timing with the hurricane opened a segway into the Clinton Foundation's failure there, and Haitians are a large voting block in Florida. And also the Clinton (and Amer Chamber of Commerce) program pushing exploratory trips to Cuba as a counteroffensive to Hillary's claims Trump was looking to do business in Cuba being pushed to the Cubanos in Florida. But all in all, a very good night for Trump.
I think he did just fine myself. I think that the underlying tone of the Democrat and MSM onslaught of pearl clutching about 2005 was a perfect seque to his retaliation via emails, role models, etc. Perhaps adding something about Haiti would have been okay, but with the 4 co-presser attendees before the debate and his attacks during it was enough to leave the right impression - for now.
GOP cuckservatives can suck political c**k.
I don’t apologize for the vulgarity. Its how I feel about them.
They were willing to do anything to elect Hillary.
Proof positive there is no difference between them and the Democrats.
What they did this weekend tells us more about them than it does about Trump.
F*ck em and don’t vote for then in November - they have shown they don’t deserve our trust.
Reading through many articles the last few days I had no idea that the press, Hollywood actor’s, political candidate’s, and just about everyone out there were so puritanical in thought and deed.
we need a let the commie islam crap rot party..
Your thoughts on Haiti...
Something could have been mentioned to the charges made that the Clinton Foundation gave Haiti watered-down HIV/AIDS drugs.
You ok there?
The only thing that bothers me is the break with Pence on Syria. That needs to be addressed.
Liberal Rag
The President calls the shots.
Who cares?
Trump is never going to win CA.
They can stuff it.
I’m not worried. Obama/Hillary could not/would not be influenced by others having more applicable knowledge. They’ve shown this consistently. Obama doesn’t even care to see the briefings and Hillary is only interested if there is a Clinton Foundation donation attached.
I feel Trump could/would listen to experts, and THAT is the shining difference between himself and Hillary.
I feel the same way.
Hypocrisy. The homage vice pays to virtue.
Like the hypocrites who rushed to disown Trump never used four-letter words in their entire lives.
My dad served with John McCain. Trust me, McCain used those words and grabbed those things.
Trump is judiciously saving ammunition for his upcoming third round knock out of “Hildabeast, lord of the flies”.
The very thought of the last bit of your sentence caused my skin to crawl.
It’s now hiding under the sofa, traumatized and terrified to come out.
