Remember the many impassioned debates we had here on Freerepublic in 2008 and 2012. There were many people who would have rather have cut their own wrists than to vote for either McCain or Romney.
But this time we have someone that we can really get behind--Donald J. Trump. Not perfect but the man that we really need. We will not get another one like him in our lifetime. This election is very much like 1976. We are in the middle of a revolution. This time the tyrant is not King George III in London but the American oligarchy in Washington.
Please, please get out and vote for Trump and get all you family and friends to vote for Trump. :^D
Trump is not a Yankee.
Yankees are from New England. They're the ones who fought the English in Lexington, Concord and Bunker Hill.
Trump is a New Yorker. Like it or not - it's going to take a New Yorker to fight successfully against this uniparty.

To think that i had a Romney sign in my front yard.....I have closely followed politics for a long time....That Romney election was one i just rolled through like a robot..(working a lot of hours to be honest).He’s the Republican candidate so i guess i need to support the smug a-hole. I am one cynical SOB now...If Trump loses...I intend on tearing the Republican party to pieces any way i can....in my small part.

Southern CA includes LA (city 4 million, greater LA 6.5-7 million), which because of changed demographics is a Dem stronghold. Orange and San Diego counties are more conservative, but less so than in decades past. I'm in San Diego.

Good luck on that....even young folks i know like their guns....admittedly, i am in the Deep South.....I am pretty proud of the 20 somethings i work around....They don’t buy the liberal BS.
Well, most southerners feel a Yankee is anyone north of the Mason Dixon line - but - Yankees are the people who settled in New England mostly before 1700. They came from England and at first settled in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Later they moved into New Hampshire and Vermont. Maine? Maine was part of Massachusetts at that time.
Oh you Southerners! You think everybody from up north must be a Yankee. Not so. Those guys down in New Jersey and New York - they’re not Yankees.
Just as that war was the War of Northern Aggression, not the Civil War - Trump is a New Yorker, not a Yankee. And that’s probably good. A New York street fighter (and winner) is what we need. And I think Trump is German or Dutch.Definitely not a Yankee.

“Islamophile” is right. When Michelle Bachman criticized Clinton for hiring Huma Abedin daughter of Muslim Brotherhood members, McCain blew a gasket castigating Michelle for being so insensitive to Muslim folks. If I lived in Arizona I would vote for the Democrat just to get that old goat out of office.
