re: age and watching CNN or another alphabet network...

I think it is just a matter of not having or being internet savvy. This affects folk that I don’t consider old... some of my son’s friends in their 40s do not do anything on the Internet except play games. Never moved and keep contact with friends with texting & phone. No desire need for FB or Twitter / Instagram etc.

They have TV on wall to wall. Network news is their way to stay “informed” and if they are really with it they subscribed to a newspaper.

sad but true

There was lots of anti-globalist material before the internet. It just takes some serious curiosity and effort to find it and study it.

The "respectable" press dismissed then and dismisses now, all of it, as bigoted, xenophobic and paranoid rantings by a fringe. The internet allowed the fringe to grow.

I recall Bob White's Duck Book, Archibald Roberts and the Committee to Restore the Constitution, John Birch Society, and many others. Savage talking about the Samizdat.
