I forgot. Why is Russia our enemy? Oh yeah, that's right, because the neocons told us so. Russia stepped in to bomb jihadists. But the neocons told that Assad and Syria is are evil and its too bad all the Christians, who support Assad, must be slaughtered by the jihadist fighting for an Islamist state. Those same neocons who, without exception, lied us into the Iraq war, the destruction of Libya, fomented the Ukraine unrest, et. al. And, all without exception, are supporting Hillary for President. Paul Wolfowitz, Bill Kristol, Dov Zakheim, Jonah Goldberg, Doug Feith, Michael Chertoff, Max Boot, Michael Ledeen, Jon Podhoretz, Robert Kagan, Elliott Cohen, et. al., are all "with her".
I don’t get why Russia is an enemy either. There is no reason for us to attack Russia and theoretically Russia should be a great ally, not an assigned enemy. I am sick and tired of neocons eagerly assigning the role of enemy to those who according to logic, should be our greatest allies.
Russia backs Iran’s Hezbollah; it backs Iran which harbored and protected the folks who later became the upper echelons of ISIS ; it was Hezbollah’s wing in SAudi Arabia that blew up Khobar Towers, it was Hezbollah that advised al Qaeda on the plot to blow up the USS The Sullivans - which only failed because their small boat sank under the load of the explosives- and lessons learned from that led to the successful attack on the USS Cole?
It was Iran that worked hand-in-hand with Russia to support and strengthen Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, it was Iran that was involved in Islamic plots in Trinidad - same time as Shukrihjumah was on the loose...and Iran that blew up a Jewish center in Argentina.
In 2004 Iranian diplomats were caught casing sites in NY City and were expelled.
It was Iran that was having a field day planting ieds in Iraq to kill our troops- the same Iran that Russia works with developing nukes...and it was Russia that stayed in Iraq to the last minute trying to get their equipment smuggled across the border to Syria.
All the goings on including 9/11 are proxy wars between nations, not lone wolves.
