TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS:
In 2014, 78% of REP ballots were returned and 70% of DEM ballots were returned (sorry don't have the data from 2012).

So far in 2016, 16.69% of REP ballots have been returned and 16.87% of DEM ballots have been returned.

I'm predicting 78% of REP absentee ballots are returned and accepted and 76% of DEM absentee ballots are returned and accepted. Based on those assumptions, I'm predicting REP lead in returned and accepted absentee ballots by 56,241. Prediction will be updated daily.

Bear in mind a returned ballot is not an actual vote for Hillary or Trump...

It’s just a designation of the party...

Who knows how many cross over votes are in the mix or cast no vote for either.

My guess some dems voted for Trump and very few rep voted for Hillary.

Don’t Independents vote absentee? Many new Trump voters are against both parties and register Independent. They should be included in these counts.

I’ve been worried about these numbers for awhile. Why isn’t the enthusiasm gap showing up?

It does seem that DEMs who voted in in-person early voting or on election day in 2012 are now doing so via absentee ballot (vote-by-mail) in 2016.

In 2012, REPs won absentee voting by 79,000. Then DEMs took the lead with in-person voting.

I’m guessing this year, the DEMs don’t have as large as a margin in in-person early voting which starts on Oct. 24th.

Thank for your efforts to keep us up to date.

I am guessing that the DEMS are filing absentee ballots post haste, and that a close examination shows that many of the ballots returned are from the zombie nation that inhabits DEM presidential voters.

When do military absentee ballots start to arrive?

I hope what you’re saying is beneficial to Trump, because these numbers look horrible so far.

When do military absentee ballots start to arrive?

Doesn't matter much they rarely count them.

Military ballots have started arriving and will continue coming in through election day.
