The reason why they talk is they are enjoying bragging about what they do. It’s like the murderer who gets caught because he has to tell someone how smart he was getting away with the perfect crime.
The only criminals (besides govt people) that didnt see prison were the OLD TIME mafia heads.
They lived in normal houses and lead “normal” lives and died of old age. Not all, but quite a few.
