Sites across the internet had problems on Friday morning following a cyberattack on a major internet management company.
On Friday morning, Dyn a company that hosts domain name systems announced it has been the subject of a cyberattack that caused major problems for numerous websites. People reported issues with Twitter, Spotify, SoundCloud, Vox Media sites, Airbnb and numerous other sites.

Domain name systems (DNS) are essentially the GPS of the internet, taking the text URLs you type into a browser and figuring out where those websites data is located on the back end. So
Hat tip Drudge.
1. The continuing Russian Hack Meme
2. Second fallout from the Internet Transfer of ICANN. The first was disconnecting Ecuador intent.
Perhaps the internet is changing faster than we thought-
As per John Bolton: http://www.breitbart.com/radio/2016/09/22/john-bolton-within-ten-years-internet-know-will-end/
The congress also bears a lot of responsibility for this coming fiasco. They did nothing, as usual.
Thoughts?
Could this be what Biden was warning us about?
TEOTWAWKI
TEOTIAWKI..............
Possibly? But perhaps Biden is in control of the hack...
With respect to #2, these have absolutely ZERO to do with the ICANN transfer. Nada. Zilch.
Hillary will blame Trump for it.
Beginning of changes...
Russia is the bad guy
Internet Domain names hacked...3 weeks after ICANN goes off shore.
What could possibly go wrong?! ;(
It’s those pesky Russians again. Flexing their newfound muscle.
Or maybe it’s James O’Keefe or Bigfoot.
Sorry I disagree, spent a lot of time looking at issue.
Connect the dots...We just transferred Domain name control,
I heard the involuntary Assange internet shutdown was first sign of global pressure.
The Russian hack meme is not a dotted line...this anti-Russian meme is way orchestrated and timing is far from coincidental...How many times did Hillary mention Russia during the debate and again last nite?
One of the first things you do in a war is destroy the enemy’s communications...........
She’s doing the old 60’s and 70’s political thing:
When in political trouble, start kicking the Russians around to get your numbers up............
Au contraire, mon ami. The transfer provides a period of chaos in which new systems may be unsure. It is a perfect time to cyber attack.
I dont see how anyone can think they can win a nuclear war.
muslims, they would use them because they dont care abuot winning or losing, just killing.
But Putin? I dont see it.
Well, I just find the timing very convenient—mess up the Eastern Seaboard internet on Friday morning after Administration and Hillary talking all week about Russia.
Waiting for Arther to weigh in on the ICANN issue. He is the expert...
That is why it is likely not the Russians...
The congress also bears a lot of responsibility for this coming fiasco. They did nothing, as usual.

And us—apparently we did not make enough noise for them to do anything :(
I certainly agree with you on the Russian angle, and the proclivity of the current administration, Hillery, et. al. to scream RUSSIA at every turn, the ICANN issue is totally separate.
The disruption was a simple DDoS attack. Dyn, a major private provider of DNS services to many businesses and organization in the US and globally suffered a DDoS attack. These same type of attacks target entities every day, with a recent large one again researcher Brian Krebs drawing quite a bit of attention. ICANN has nothing to do with it.
The Ecuador issue is simply governments doing what governments do and it would have happened with or without the ICANN transfer. The transfer really is a back-end administrative function, and while I wholeheartedly opposed the transfer, the effects I worry about are far more long term structural issues.
