I made a distinction between regular atheists and extreme atheists. Pure Marxists ideologues are pure materialists. They do not believe that love or conscience exists. They believe that all human relations are guided by power-relations, not love or conscience. I have met such people, and some of them may be teaching in a university near you.

If an audience insisted on going down the road of “power” then one could rightly point out the power of God in a witness to them. There is a power in love; there is a power in conscience.

So true. Honestly, I think that is our biggest battle to get academia back to sanity. Without that, owning everything else is almost useless.
