I agree. The increased penalty should be Zero and Gruber go to prison for the rest of their natural lives.

Of course he thinks that - the whole concept is based on forcing everyone to buy insurance so the pool is as big as it can possibly be. Allowing people to opt out with a penalty defeats the intention, so since they can’t literally force people to buy they will make the penalties so onerous they will have no choice.

Demonicrats tax, squander and penalize the peewaddleydew out of everybody while demonizing the insurance industry for not wanting to insure against perils that already exist, rather than those that may or may not materialize. The insanity continues unabated!!!

So what would we do differently.

It was absurdly not fair, before. The government mandates so much, yet all the providers are out to maximize there own profits.

What would we as the GOP, do differently? Do not simply criticize the alternative, if we have no idea ourselves how to fix things.

Either propose an alternative, or please do not say a word. One or the other.

Just my opinion.

Also Gruber if I did go to the doctor I paid my bill so I am not free loading you ahole.

P.S. Go to hell Gruber and you are the free loader taking tax payer money for your half baked ideas you suck.

Arrogant elite liberal bassturds deliberately ignore the main reason why healthy young people don’t sign up for Obolacare, is because the US economy is in a bad *recession with high unemployment!
*a rocking stock market does not indicate national economic health.

A third of those under 30 can’t find good paying jobs, and are forced to live with their parents.
The real Labor U6 unemployment rate is 22+%, not 5%.
93 Million working age adults are NOT employed full time.
HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of foreign H1B workers have taken the jobs that Americans need to have in order to ensure a sound economy and social order.

I Hate Liberals.
The F@ck Everything.

He wants to make the penalty 100% of a person’s annual earnings. They and their families will die of starvation as a result, but they will have great health care up till the end.

Zeke Emmanuel wants to lower the population of the United States and the world. The simplest way to do so is to kill freedom because if he does that, he and his ilk can then kill anyone they want.

Aetna exec predicts fewer young people in health exchanges
Wednesday Posted Oct 26, 2016 at 10:13 AM Updated at 2:51 PM
By Zachary Tracer and Katherine Doherty, Washington Post News Service

NEW YORK - Healthier people will avoid buying Affordable Care Act health insurance plans as premiums climb, threatening the stability of the market, Aetna Inc. Chief Executive Officer Mark Bertolini said.

“As the rates rise, the healthier people pull out because the out-of-pocket costs aren’t worth it,” Bertolini said at Bloomberg’s The Year Ahead Summit in New York. “Young people can do the math. Gas for the car, beer on Fridays and Saturdays, health insurance.”

Premiums for health plans sold to individuals under the ACA, known as Obamacare, are going up by about 25 percent on average for next year. Bertolini said that as costs rise, more individuals will decide not to buy health plans. That’ll push premiums even higher, unless a new president and lawmakers can find fixes for the new markets created by the 2010 health law.

“What happens is the population gets sicker and sicker and sicker and sicker,” Bertolini said. “The rates keep rising to try and catch it. It’s a fruitless chase, and ultimately you end up with a very bad pool of risk.”

The government has emphasized that subsidies are available for many people to help cushion the premium increases. When they are taken into account, about 77 percent of current ACA enrollees will be able to buy health insurance for $100 or less a month, the U.S. said in a report on Monday.

Given the remote possibility that some FReepers and lurkers haven’t seen the following evidence that Obamacare is unconstitutional, you will probably find it interesting.

Please keep in mind that citizens can have “government” healthcare if they want it. But in the case of unconstitutional federal Obamacare, the corrupt Washington cartel wrongly ignored that the Constitution does not say “yes” or “no” to things like government healthcare. What the Founding States had intended for the Constitution to indicate about healthcare, and many other things that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly address, is the following.

The Founding States had made the 10th Amendment to clarify that the Constitution’s silence about issues like healthcare means that the states, not the federal government, automatically and uniquely have the constitutional authority to regulate, tax and spend for things like INTRAstate healthcare.

In fact, using broad language, previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified limits on the fed’s power to regulate, tax and spend as follows. This is evidenced by the excerpts from Supreme Court case opinions below.

With the excerpts above in mind, consider that lawless Obama’s state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices wrongly ignored that previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend in the name of INTRAstate healthcare.

From related threads …

Considering the Obamacare insurance mandate for example, note the third entry in the list below from Paul v. Virginia. In that case, justices had clarified that regulating insurance is not within the scope of Congress’s Commerce Clause powers (1.8.3), regardless if the parties negotiating the insurance policy are domiciled in different states.

So what unconstitutional Obamacare actually did was to show how corrupt all three branches of the unconstitutionally big federal government are, the feds wrongly not securing the required consent of the Constitution’s Article V state supermajority before establishing Obamacare.

Remember in November !

Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody, but will also put a stop to unconstitutonal federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional inteference in state affairs as evidenced by unconstitutional Obamacare.

Again, the states have always had the 10th Amendment-protected state power to establish their own healthcare programs, depending on what the legal majority voters of a given state want.

Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
